just watched the game on replay... IMO the fans went too far tonight w/the 'Fire Isiah' chant in crunchtime... the team was making a comeback only down by 6 pts. with just about a minute left in the game, & the fans started up the chant right after the likely rookie of the year Kevin Durant blew past D Lee for a monster 2 handed dunk in the lane.

how does anyone think that helped motivate the players to play harder at that stage of the game? i can understand completely the chants when the team is getting blown out at the garden, but this was a closely contested game at that point & Jamal was carrying the team back w/his offense.

Isiah deserves to be fired, there's no arguing that, but at that point you wanna win that game, don't u? or am i wrong in holding the fans accountable on this one?

As martin alluded to...the crowd was phased out. Only a small muffled chant could be heard towards the end of the game.

Thanks for saying that because I felt the crowd was VERY quiet on the telecast. I was wondering if everyone who normally comes to the games gave tickets to other people or were just tired of booing. At the beginning all you could hear was what sounded like a mother and her girls clapping and yelling some form of "go team!" type support....I was practically nauseated.

I wondered where were the boos and the fire isiah chants. Now I wonder where were just the usual crowd where a random fan would shout something out every 15 seconds?

All that...was gone. Towards the end there were some boos and chants but they were muffled.

I think it's clear: The Garden definitely blocked the crowd from the telecast.

Well, when Isiah invariably loses his job (it has to happen, right? Please, Lord, answer my prayers!!!) please include the "Fire Isiah" chants in the tribute video.
