enjoyable game

finally the knicks coaches came up with a plan to make up for the porous 1-1 defenders we have the zone

they should stay in the zone the rest of the year! + im not kidding:)

we should primarily play zone 75%+ of the time!

Good game, hopefully they can build on it but they do seem to have a hard time with Chicago. Gotta go do the work thing. Catch ya'll 2morrow night.

this is why it killed me that Brown didn't use it ONCE all season last year. we have bad defenders, the zone helps that, especially with Lee and Balkman and Nate and Jefferies running around cleaning up mistakes.

there's no Bill Russell here. Lee is our best rebounder and one of our best passers. Everything Isiah was saying about Jefferies being a "glue guy" applies double to Lee.

zone defense does not work against good teams. boston is not a good team. the better teams will pick it apart.

LOVE Lee. Clyde brings up that he almost had a triple double, the first thing Lee brings up is how well the team played. LOVE him.

then why did almost every single playoff team use it to take teams out of their offense? Dallas and Miami did it all through their runs to the Finals. you don't use it exclusively, you use it smartly to stop a run or to have a certain lineup make sense together.

Reading comrehension is fundamental to reading. I said OUR FRONT LINE HAS MORE TALENT but THEIR FRONT LINE IS BETTER PUT TOGETHER AND COMPLIMENTS EACH OTHER BETTER!

I do not understand why you don't get this. I already said we had better players about 4 responses ago. The OUR PLAYERS ARE BETTER INDIVIDUALLY and THEIR PLAYERS ARE BETTER AS A UNIT.

you aren't proving your point. you say one game doesn't matter then promptly show me one game where Boston played better. I don't see them complimenting one another at all. I don't see a good post option on offense on their team, I don't see a good rebounder outside of Pierce.

And what are you proving? You're saying that we have better players(right now), which I agreed with and you have brought up the numbers from tonights game as proof of your argument. I brought up how they outplayed us with 2 guys when we first played them. You don't want to compare using one game, don't start comparison using one game as a barometer.

The Celts played like crap this game. The Knicks played very well.

Jefferson averages 10 pts, 7 rebs, and a block a game(he missed the first 7 games due to apendectomy)
Perkins averages 5 pts, 6 rebs, 2 blks.
Gomes averages 10 pts, 7 rebs, 2 assists,

Frye averages 7 pts, 5 rebs
Curry averages 13 pts, 6 rbs
Lee averages 9 pts, 8 rebs, 1 steal.

I rounded everyone down. If you didn't average the full number, it was rounded down.

Um...our frontcourt has one blocked shot. one. one. Our backcourt has 2 blocked shots.

yes, and you said their front court was better than ours because it was such a great shotblocking collection. I mean, these are your arguments. or did you edit them again?

No..You just can't seem to comrehend what you read. I said that their frontcourt played batter as a unit than ours.

Yeah but there are enough bad teams or at least 2nd teams that it would be effective against. We'll be facing more of those teams in DEC. The thing is that LB refused to use it last year when clearly we needed something to stem the tide or change the pace. Also Isiah used some Ball Pressure as well. It was a well coached game by Isiah and the players finally executed.

Could be they are. Pierce had an off game. Did the zone catch them off guard? More than likely. They couldn't break it. The Knicks played very well not trying to match up to the Celts and making the celts match up to them. Isiah utilized Frye and Curry extremely well tonight.

if you're talking about how they play as a unit, I don't see how their individual numbers have anything to do with anything. and, again, you're talking about their small forward without talking about ours, so I don't even see the point. and all those numbers changed tonight anyway, the Knicks numbers got better and Boston's got worse.

but talking about how they play as a unit is subjective. what's the final judgement? record? we have a better record than them on a much tougher schedule. this is a ridiculous discussion, you're free to covet their front court and think about how well they play together.

I comprehend what you are saying, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it.

here's the AP talking about how the frontcourt played together:
Channing Frye added 13 points and six rebounds and David Lee had 11 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists for the Knicks, who outscored the Celtics 48-26 in the paint and outrebounded them, 48 to 30.
