Collins perhaps a little more athletic than we thought.
Some people said he tested better than they expected and that Chaney's facist system might have been masking some of his talent.

He did...

Knicks get a dunk... from one of the extras.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Knicks up by 20. Cavs down by 20.

well, it's summer season. I would like to be able to say that during the season.

You do and can. For some reason, the Knicks are one team that gives the Cavs fits.

Too much heart, sometimes you can be your own worst enemy. He wanted to prove something to everyone. Try and justify Thomas pick of him.

Apparently it was worth it; he drew a Spree comparison, based off of his hair.

impressions

The 2005 guys look real good. The 2006 guys, not on par with the talent of 2005. Balkman looks very similar to Ariza--not a bad thing, but I saw him get busted on the D inside and off the dribble. I dont no where he would play in the nBA, if he plays at all. Collins looked passive, he made a couple of plays, but doesnt look like an up tempo type player. I didnt even see him bring up the ball. Nothing that surprised me there today. I dont see how we pas up on Marcus Williams for either or really both of these players. If I could trade both for marcus right now, I would.

I liked Collins...he was what I expected. Balkman was better than I expected. Lee and Frye definately improved...Nate...I am not sure, he looked the same to me except he was more willing to run the offense instead of shoot.

well, Briggs, one of the reasons we didn't draft Marcus Williams is that we had Steve Francis. and you were all about getting Francis. So we have Balkman and Francis instead of Marcus and Ariza.

Liberty vs. Sacramento picked up already in progress.

Renaldo Balkman enters the game, replacing Becky Hammon.

The Monarchs lead the Liberty 15-14 at the end of the first quarter. Steve Francis will start at point in the second quarter. Francis has drawn many comparisons to a poor man's Lisa Leslie.

What do you think he looks like---are you watching the game? He had two dunks, he was porous on the D, he made a few scrap plays. Overall he was not on par with what we saw out of Ariza--but hes a very similar player. I knew once he played with bigger guys, rebounding would be a concern. He can dribble drive, but nothing that made me say pick 20 more like pick 50. Collins played passively--the 2005 guys both last year in SL and this year are WAY WAY WAY better talent wise.

I saw him in the NIT and never for one moment thought "Ariza" he's stronger. I've only seen his dunk on youtube from today's game cause DTV was blacked out. Ariza couldn't have reached and dunked from there. This was his first game and he was a little banged up, we'll see where he goes from here.

This coming from the man who said Channing Frye had BUST WRITTEN ALL OVER HIM after watching 2 summer league games last summer. Right.
