SAS is discussing LB discussing trades behind IT's back.

LB has done this his entire career, so this is nothing new. You can say that LB had discussions with other teams without explicit instructions about who to trade for whom and characterize that as "behind IT's back" or you can say that LB also entered into discussions. Same thing I guess.

LOTS of coaches do this. Some don't. Some more than others cause they carry a bigger juice card.

my god, the excuses people make for Larry Brown.

not and excuse, just fact.

Quick question...looking at this picture from last year's press conference, does it even look like Zeke is happy about the hiring?

all kool aid all the time.

without permission from the GM? without even informing the GM?

how do you think Joe Dumars would react to that? people get on Steph for being a prima donna with a big mouth while they protect the bigger prima donna with the bigger mouth.

oh well, I guess now we get to see if this roster really is awful or if maybe Larry was involved in a power struggle and was sacrificing wins to make a point.

So, coaching a 35 win team to 23 games makes the curry trade look like crap, however, I beg to differ and think we should have won a ton more games and they don't have the number 2 pick, and possibly don't even have a lottery pick and then the curry trade is AWESOME.

Then protect the pick. Or don't trade for Curry. Starting a rookie pf, having no starting 3 and an undersized Crawford at the 2 isn't a recipe for a standout season. Curry was a risk to begin with. You knew two consecutive lottery seasons weren't out of the question. Protect your gambles intead of giving away the farm for a heap of hypertrophic crap.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Please stop...Curry is better than anyone coming out...No question...

No one makes that trade if we protect that pick...No one...

Overall Ariza stunk. Give him the full mid, Orlando probably won't match.

One thing they agreed on: Curry's improvement will be critical this year.

See the Ed Curry thread.

A) Brown didn't start a rookie PF. But he should have.

B) QRich was either the starting 2 or 3, so one of those points is off. Also, David Lee looked pretty good starting at the 3 and Nate looked okay starting at the 2. too bad it couldn't have been consistent.

lol. keep pretending the trade was just Curry for a pick.

LAL walked away because of the asking price. Phil chose the Kobes in a much harder to win in last season West because the guys running the ship actually have a clue as to how to run a franchise.

It's not worth throwing that kind of money at him...Would have been nice to see what he turned into on your roster at minimum money....

Yeah that and the fact he is banging the owners daughter might have played into his decision..

Well we will finally see what Curry looks like with an offseason where he is healthy and able to get into shape...We will finally see what kind of player he can be when he thinks he has the support of the coach...We will see whether he can really be at 20 and 8 guy here....And we will see what rook can match that production in the near future...You know it's NY...So that stat will never be able to be covered up....

Listening to Mike and Mad Dog yesterday, Rod Thorn a respected GM in this league says Bargnani will be a project at best in this league..He does not expect him to be a player at all...So he can be your number one guy that lost of people project him to be..I'll take the fat acrobat as most GMs would do....
