![]() the winter isn't over...
according to adam the bull on wfan, a friend or guy that he knows went to orlando hudson's wedding and hudson told the guy the yanks are going to trade cano and bring him in... i'm not sure i buy into this. they had cano lose weight this winter (he dropped 10 lbs) and they sent hitting coach kevin long down to the DR to work with him. but who knows...the yanks are gangsta's so anything's possible...i wouldn't be a big fan of this move BUT trading cano will bring back and very good young player too. |

![]() i don't buy into it either but if Cano is traded they BETTER get back top notch young pitching or pitching prospects... otherwise it's a dumb move.

![]() I'm tired of looking at Cano to be honest.....yankees need to continue to get rid of dead dick guys like abreu, melky, cano, giambi, etc....what i mean is nonchalant guys that seem to just go up there with an "oh well" mentality....Orlando Hudson isnt the best player around but the dude can field that ball. Yanks need to shore up that defense. Cano wasn't bad....but like i said, he is just a dead dick player.

![]() i dunno, many felt the same way about Bernie too over the years... that he was nonchalant, lacked any personality or passion for the game... but through time he proved that he was just as intense a competitor as anyone else on this team, he just wasn't as demonstrative about it... i think another guy is Matsui who gives off that same type of impression but i know during postseason play the guy has come through before in huge spots & even tho he's struggled in the more recent playoff series, i think both Matsui & Cano should be held onto this season... i like O Dawg's defense & he's a solid switch hitter but he doesn't have Cano's upside, plus he's 5 years older... defensively they're pretty much identical in terms of fielding percentage over their careers & i really like how Cano turns the DP w/that quick arm flick of his.
if we're gonna trade Cano as part of any package i really hope we get a guy like Grienke, Billingsley, Peavy, etc.... we can't give up a talent like that w/o getting back premium value or potential. After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
