![]() Posted by Knicksfan:I was talking about our offense. Manny is not a pitcher. What we did to our rotation is a separate issue.Posted by Bonn1997:Posted by Knicksfan:I don't think people appreciate how mediocre (at best) our offense was last year. All we've done since is lose two very good players and add one outstanding player.Posted by Bonn1997:Posted by TMS: |

![]() The Yankeee hate that's flying around is so ridiculous it's funny. It's basically the same talking points as always when the Yankees sign a player but there's 2 points that none of the haters mention:
1) The Yankees dropped $88 million off their payroll after last season 2) The Yankees payroll is still $20 million lower than what it was last season even after signing Texeira, Sabathia and Burnett. I don't give any credence to anything written or said about the Yankees offseason unless those things are mentioned. It's basic information that anyone with half a clue would know and is purposely left out to promulgate the hysteria that the Yankees are ruining baseball. I won't even get into how much money every team in baseball makes, directly and indirectly, from the Yankees. Why exactly can't the Yankees replace Giambi with Texeira, Mussina and Pavano with Sabathia and Abreu with Burnett? The same people who had no problem with the Yankees payroll last season when they finished 3rd in their division are the same morons who have a problem with it this offseason even though their payroll is currently subtantially lower. The hate is ridiculous. If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System
