It's every game- why does he think he doesn't have to bother with the in game huddles anymore? he's supposed to be the leader, but he's acting like he's retiring and is just counting down the days. He's got 4 more seasons left!!! I pray we have a trade lined up for when he becomes eligible because at least it would make sense of this complete mental check out, because if we haven't and he's acting like this and we're stuck with him, we are stuffed!

I mean what was so catastrophic this season that warrants this level of complete disengagement by him? He signed the contract extension after all the roster moves, so he must have been okay with that. Some fans boo'd him, some were awful when he had covid, and he was asked to stop forcing things all the time and share the ball. And that pushed him over the edge?! Apologies to him if he's got personal stuff going on, but man, this is infuriating to watch.

All true. I’ve seen a lot of this including at key points in the game. Not dealing well w adversity.

I'm guessing (without any substance behind it) that Randle knows he is getting shipped out Feb 3.

That's what I'm hoping, because then it makes perfect sense. If it's not what's happening then it's really worrying!

The game was over the very second JR came back into the game in the middle of the second quarter. It made zero sense at the time considering how well RJ and the bench were doing. We went downhill immediately.

IMHO effort is a skill. Some guys push themselves to it, some guys just don't have it in them and have to be forced to do it when things aren't going right. Randle is one of them

Thibs inability for change has did us another disservice. We have no idea how Kemaba and EF plays without Randle. How is it possible that they have only played 14 minutes together without Randle through out the whole season. That is basically the addition of time they probably spent waiting for a dead ball situation so they can check in. This might be the worst indictment on him not adjusting or trying something new. It would be our luck that we trade them for a bag of peanuts and it turns out they did not magically forget to play basketball and it was just Randle/Thibs the whole time. Remember just last season they had very good advance stats whenever they played with each other in Boston. Obviously their D was not great but their scoring was very good.

Randle does play 35 minutes per game and that second unit does do well together and when they do well, which is like every game cause the SL sucks, you want to keep them in for longer?

I'm all for sitting Randle more but the above stats are not very revealing IMO
