KP was one of the reasons for that direction.

You should actually be Thanking KP for allowing Mills to make a one sided trade that ultimately got him fired 12 months later.

I still would prefer Thibs coaching a Front court of Randle & KP

And I suspect you'll prefer it independent of the fact KP is a middling NBA player right now.

There's no Leon if Mills is still here making Bad move after bad move, don't forget mills was hrs away from pulling another Bad trade With GSW for D Russel, using all of the assets and cap space he got from the KP trade

If your telling me you would prefer Mitch, Taj or Noel over KP.....this conversation is over Mr Homer

Congrats 1248, you're officially the first person on this forum to excuse me of being a Knicks homer.

And yes, I'd prefer the guy who makes $1.8m and plays excellent defense for a center and rebounds over the guy who makes $31m and plays below average defense as a center and rebounds and shoots jumpshots like an average small forward.

You really ought to look into why disparaging Mitchell Robinson is such a personal fixation for you.

Mitch is worth what he gets paid, he's as avg as they come, i got no problem with that..

I had certain issues with KP when he was here(fatigue, lack of rebounding, injuries, soft) and i was considered a kp hater then.

I criticize any player who's not playing up to par, regardless of who's team they're on.

Mean while any player we draft, you will over look there flaws has if they don't exist, and think the world of them, that's a homer..

If Mitch is average, his production vs cost is a significant bargain.

Thanks for sharing that.

Okay, let's explore that.

Name one player you're referring to and cite your evidence of me overlooking their flaws...

Or are you wholly talking out of your ass right now?

That isn't a rhetorical question.

Accusing Knickoftime of being a homer is like charging TripleThreat with being the foremost pro-feminist authority on the board.

knicks1248 ... I'm trying to figure out if your KP man-love fixation has anything to do with your Frankiehate gene expression.

Dude the KP and knicks marriage didn't work out, so be it, we weren't that good with him anyway, no need to be a bitter fan

I never have a problem with players that want out or request trades, that's their choice if they are not happy

GM's and presidents trade players (like when the knicks traded sprewell, Oak) whenever they felt like it...

Trade kickers give players 15% to contract when moved.
A player can waive it if they are wanting out. Perhaps there should be a kicker for the team if a player wants to move? Usually buyouts are in place, and its so rare for a player to leave a contender. Its been done, but its not frequent.
1248. Thanks for using an example of a trade. I was really stumped to think a a scenario like that. You know, when a player goes to one team vs. another. We are so lucky to have you!

As for Oak, Camby was younger and fit what Earnie was building which was a more uptempo team. Toronto was trying to win now with Carter. It was not because Earnie was unhappy.
Spree was in decline and was a headache for Knicks. Maybe his removal made knicks FO happy?

KP was a major pain and he wanted knicks to help in his extortion thing he had with neighbor women. Maybe it did make MIlls happy trade him.

It's not about being a bitter fan, or a knicks marriage. It's about facts about the broken unicorn. You're preferring a maxed out randomly injured one season wonder to the players we have now that got us to the playoffs.

KP dragged us to the playoffs how many times? Please don't put KP in the same sentence with Knicks who actually contributed something to historic playoff runs and being in the Finals.

Didn't want to jump on the Nalod bandwagon, but you are truly getting delusional.

This narrative of Melo was shunned and was sent home is old.
Melo’s play and inability to adapt got him sent home.
The story should read more that he rededicated himself to his craft and his body and accepted a smaller role. That gave him the window to play and he will have good games in that role.
Kudos to him for stepping up. It took some courage to take some humility and re-establish cred in that role.

Did you just say injury prone in the same sentence with KP as a detriment to some other players? Homer glasses? Try putting on some reading comprehension glasses.

You're making up posts that I supposedly said? Seriously? It's come to this? I've been hating on KP since he turned his injury prone brittle act into a Janis-powered diva rage play.

No, your point was and is that you prefer KP over what we have at the center position now. Own it; stop with the smoke machine and poor misdirection and just own it.

You don't honestly believe that do you?

He was sent away 10 games into the season that year and, if I'm not mistaken, only played with both Harden and Paul in maybe half of them because they were both injured.

Lets not forget that they released Melo after hiring Jeff Bzdelik who, supposedly had issues with Melo back in Denver, and "apparently" wouldn't accept the Rockets position with him there.
