Prince is doable

A prince acquisition probably means so long Reggie and Alec. I haven't really followed Prince so I can't tell if he's to cooked to contribute. He's definitely overpaid, though most of that had to do with Brk cap manipulations.

Love and Randle is perfect, I can see Randle kicking it out to Love for a baseline 3 all day, plus he's an elite offensive rebounder

How do you picture the D and rim protection with Randle/Love at the 4/5?

How about when Love’s $30M is in street clothes for 40-50 games this year and maybe more in 2022?

Just saying there are some BIG concerns with Love addition outside of his rebounding & outlets.

The only way I contemplate taking on Kevin Love's dead money is if the Cavs were willing to include that no.3 pick. If the rumors are true and Evan Mobley is available with the pick, it's an EASY call to do what it takes to get him on the roster. But, I doubt we have enough assets going back to Cleveland to justify a lottery team giving up that valuable a pick. Cap space/flexibility is irrelevant to a bad market; draft picks are the only thing to give them any hope of future success.

I'm not remotely interested in Collin Sexton, let alone if Kevin Love has to be included with him. Hope this is all DOA.

As much as I enjoy a 1248 pile on, the exists a limited amount of time you can put Mitch at the 5, Love at the 4 and let Randle do his thing at the 3 is not a full game event but could work well. With Thibs you have a veteran centric coach. Love has been in a turmoil filled environment with many younger players.
I’m not advocating this but if it were to occur. I would cost us OBI as a piece of this trade.
I’m not into starphuching a future of abstract potential FA when they are either too old or likely to just resign with current club. Love is more movable down even if we have to burn an asset to incentivize

Just hope we don't revisit taking on Westbrook as a straight up salary dump for the Wiz if they end up sending Beal to the Warriors

Love and Randle on the floor at the same time? We’d be the worst defensive team in the league with that alignment

The Cavs just traded for Rubio. I think Sexton will be moved next. I’m getting the feeling Sexton will be a Knick

they just gave Allen a 100 million deal when they drafted Mobley. Sexton meanwhile is twisting.

that team is a mess right now. Even if i liked Sexton (and i'm generally negative seeing his defense as more megative than his offense is positive) i would only low ball for him at this point

Knicks can only really get Sexton by taking back Love. At the moment they don't have the cap space to absorb and don't really have the contracts to trade back. And Mitch Robinson is not gonna be appealing in a deal when they re-signed Allen and draft Mobley. Not really seeing the fit right now.

Cavs and Kings are 2 teams i'll never understand. Like Kings having Fox and Haliburton and drafting a 3rd PG in Davion Mitchell. And Cavs investing their 3rd pick and then 100 mil in centers who aren't really capable of playing PF. They will start Mobley at PF but they are doing him a disservice there. He's a center.

I've been very hard on Collin Sexton due to his teammates calling him out as being a selfish player etc.

However. He is talented. And maybe like Julius Randle, coach Tom Thibs can help turn him around due to experience coaching up Derrick Rose as an explosive PG.

I'm willing to move Kevin Knox, Luca Vildoza and a 1st round pick for him but imo Obi Toppin is off limits because if anything ever happens to Julius Randle @ PF (injury) we're going to wish we still had Obi Toppin to (help) save our season.

My guess is that Obi would be included in any type of trade like this

Mobley doesn't have the physical chops to handle the beating at center yet. He's skilled enough and mobile enough to play the 4 but him at his best should be at the 5 (as is the case for Anthony Davis and Porzingis).

The Kings stink and needed to draft the best player available. Mitchell was a good bet to be that. Considering Haliburton's and Fox's length, Mitchell can be the 3rd guard off the bench and play with either. I don't see the problem with the pick, personally. Wouldn't be surprised if the Kings shopped Fox though. I don't think he fits what we do but maybe we could make an offer built around Mitchell Robinson, Obi Toppin, the Fournier contract and minimal picks later this season.

What would you define as minimal picks. 3? He's still relatively young and has had success in this league? Mitch is probably the most desirable trade piece the team can afford to lose, but Cleveland has no need for him. Maybe Quick and Obi, along with picks can get it done?

I see Victor Olidapo is still out there. If he comes at a cheap price I wouldn't mind him. He needs a 1 year prove it contract.

I was talking about D'Aaron Fox; not Sexton. I'd like to consider myself Sexton's biggest critic and prefer the Knicks look at other options if it came to giving up any assets for him. To be fair though, I could see how he'd "succeed" in a Thibodeou offense. Could always sign him if it came down to it.
