Only in a Knicks forum would there be 14 pages on Tony phucking Wroten.

That's how point guard starved we've been since Mark Jax and Rod Strick, never mind Clyde...

You do realize that it wouldn't be this many pages if you took out the intentional posts from guys trying to make this a running joke? I look forward to the thread when there's something to actually discuss about Wroten if he's officially signed.

YUP! This is all next to meaningless. Not much different than the original Wroten thread. Just something to talk about besides the same old stuff. The Knicks haven't denied that they intend to sign him but it hasn't happened yet. My guess is Phil is waiting til after the road trip.

It's smart because it's exactly what we did with Galloway after his 10 day expired. You give the guy a shot and if he plays well then you have him for cheap. If he's a bust, you cut him after training camp. However what you don't want to do is have a guy play well for 6-7 games and then command a bigger contract and walk in free agency. The Knicks can take their time with Tony, feed him the offense and what they want from him so he can work on it all summer. Then the test comes in training camp and the start of the regular season. Already I like our backcourt more with Grant and Wroten next year. We've got capspace to sign someone more to that, hopefully we can. Wroten is like having a 2nd round draft pick this year. You got a guy who is 22, who has shown NBA level ability. He's got an injury and he may not pan out. It's a worthwhile gamble, like a 2nd round pick would be. I love this move. Reminds me of signing Galloway last year. We need to make these moves because we're a team without any draft picks this summer.

OK, as long as not one penny for next year is guaranteed

Rumors are that only this season would be guaranteed. I'm pretty sure Phil will be responsible with a pick up like this. They can bring him in for a look at Summer League and put him on a Knick monitored program this summer. Low Risk and High Potential. I hope they finalize this soon and we can learn more about his current status.

At this point, he probably won't sign until the 14 day road trip is over...

Sorry, missed this whole Tony thread thing. Can someone recap the previous 14 pages for me? Please keep it to the most important points. Like if Tony has a rocket coming out of his ass.

And what's this about some guy "Jimmy" possible playing with us?

Knicks fans are looking real desperate these days. 14pages on a player we grab out of the sixers trash can. Imagine what happens if we ever get a real player.
Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

And at point guard no less!!! If we ever get a decent point guard that can last more than a season and actually grow and stick with the team...

Nah, bring on the retreads.

I'm not expecting zilch from Wroten. If he even makes the team will be a pleasant surprise.

If Phil hires Thibs, backs off from triangle concepts to a more flexible quadrilateral offense, and actually gets a NBA quality point guard in free agency, then we might be able to salvage something here...

Have ok looked at his shot chart? Its modern but dumb. They should have told him to stop shooting 3s. I get preaching lay ups and 3s but some players just can't shoot.

if he cant hit a 3 at 30-32+ % then he should not shoot it.
