Who said Trey Lyles Sucks?!?! 20 pts, 9rbs and 4 three's...Also, Russell 21 pts on 50% shooting...This is why we need to chill with the extreme knee jerk reactions during summer league play..good or bad.

20 shots and no foul shots to get those 20 points. Poor defender - non factor on that end.

yeah she subbed in on FirstTake a few weeks ago and I was looking very lovely. Then she brokdown the triangle and where KP might fit.

ah ... now I remember her. Better without all the makeup

The girl is by far the brightest person in that clip and shows a full understanding of what the hell she is talking about. Funny thing is that everyone including all of us expected KP to be a complete project defensively when in reality he may end up keying our defense with his gigantic length, solid atheticism and a solid understanding of defensive concepts.

Apparently they are trying to figure out how to add Mickey. Marks also said they haven't signed Crowder yet. Not sure if that would be 16 and 17 for roster number. They may have to let someone else go or move someone.

I don't expect the Knicks to go into the season with Early as the back-up SF. They may give the Greek a shot but probably not. If roster stays as is I think L-Thomas will get The back-up SF minutes because he knows what the hell he is doing.

Bring the SF spot up because a guy like Crowder would be a nice add.

Rosyln is the beat reporter for the warriors and former stanford PG from queens. yes she knows her stuff

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Khem Bir h has been really good for what he does. He's only 6-9 but hes plays long with a quick first jump. Dallas has to be happy with Andersen. I thought he'd have a chance to develop into a player similar to Jimmy Butler and he really showed well. He's got a really nice 3 point shot. If he can continue to develop a dribble drive game he has the physical attributes to be a really good NBA player

Has Birch signed with anyone yet? He played above the crowd in the d league last year as well.

IMO,
Bobby Portis remains to be the BIGGEST STEAL of the draft
He is Jermaine Oneil but can hit 3pter's and plays BIG/TOUGH, knowing how to use his quickness/strength/mobility on both ends of the floor and rebounding
The PG's in the triangle are role players anyway, while Portis as ALL STAR potential as a 2way player, and Anderson has lock down potential...
So drafting a role player (GRANT in the Triangle), ALL STAR potential 2way player (Bobby Portis), and BIG, ATHLETIC, STRONG/VERSATILE 3&D DEFENDER with great upside, easily would have been better options
Along with drafting actual talent that we could look to develop right now with our roster at pick 35
Thanasis is currently closer to a SF but he does have the ability to develop to a SG/SF that could defend multiple positions as well, to a role similar to Ariza who didn't get a 3pt shot till later in his career with consistency

Maybe I am being greedy but I also have an incentive in hoping to build a roster to contend and lure Westbrook to New York, as we will need ALL STAR talents
I do not see us luring TOP TIER talents next year, though we may land solid players that could improve our roster to make us a play off team

I think we would have a better team to build moving forward if we used the 19th pick and 35th pick differently
Portis might not get to play as much unless Noah gets moved as Chicago is simply too deep for Portis to put up big numbers with

Gasol/Noah/ Cameron Bairstow

Mirotic/Gibson/ Mirotic
Doug McDourment/Dunleavey/Butler/Snell all could slide down a position

Yeah, Anderson looks very good and has great potential, especially learning under Wesley Matthews
Anderson is huge, 3&D with good size/strength/work ethic, and dropping to Dallas's system would do wonders for him

While we are all happy we got that much value as we did for Tim Hardaway JR, which I think will do much better in Atlanta's system/talents with multiple other talents to initiate the OFFENSE through penetration, post ups, with other shooters to space him out, and ball/player movement
Learning how to move off the ball and use picks to free himself up, learning of Kyle Korver to be a more efficient player, and less JR Smith type hero ball/shot selection
They also have solid defensive players to make up for his poor defense
Our team simply was just too weak, not enough talent, and too many poor defenders, without HIGH IQ/HIGH CHARACTER VETS that have actual skills
Phil Jackson has made trades that helped get our former players to be in successful systems/players

Most PG's that have talent will not be very fond of playing in the Triangle system, unless it is tweaked
Grant is 22, will be 23 before the season starts, and after his 4 seasons before he becomes a RFA, he will be about 28, looking for his probably 1st and last BIG contract

With Galloway/Shved *we would have kept him*, possibly even sign Daniel Hackett as well
And Calderon as the 2ndary Ball Handler, shooter to space the floor, and still capable of producing though he should be a 2nd possibly 3rd ball handler/facilitor

While Boston has many PG's and combo guards, available such as Evan Turner/Isiah Thomas along with Ty Lawson and bottom tier talents such as Randy Foye/Jameer Nelson, Russ Smith *could be ready to break out this year or next*, Brandon Jennings will be a UFA next year and Tony Wroten will be a RFA, and Spencer Dinwiddie/Galloway being the "traditional combo guards" that The Triangle has success with, I question how we could have build our roster differently with more "higher potential pieces"

PG's/combo guards next summer
===============================

DJ Augstin
Aaron Brooks
E'Twaun Moore

Jennings
Evan Turner
Ish Smith/Isiah Cannon/Tony Wroten

With D League PG's and undrafted talents as well
====================================================

Tim Frazier
Lorenzo Brown
Sean Kilpatrick

Bryce Cotton/Seth Curry

Quin Cook

So whether we used the draft pick at 19 on Anderson or Portis
We would have been a much better team today and for our future as well

Did anybody get to watch Cliff Alexander in SL? Was he worth a check? He was a top prospect a year ago

At the start of summer league all the media were mocking how slow he was, how badly he was playing and how he likely would never contribute! A most impressive climb for him

Willie Stein was impressive in SL. He didnt play the minutes others did--but I was impressed with his play. His body looks like it has gone through a transformation--and his play seems to have taken off from the confidence of his new found power. So for those who were high on him--hes a very good pick hes going to do much better than I thought he looked better than anyone north of Turner.

So exactly what does this mean moving forward?

You will still argue your point regardless....

I was high on him in college and never saw him play in summer league. But I don't have to. The SL wasn't going to make or break him (for me). It's really for the WCS doubters. I know the negatives are still there, just like everybody else. It's up to injuries and maturity, if anybody reaches their potential.

Also said KP will provide similar blind side shot blocking ability as Stein, but with the offensive shot making abilities as a guard. I also said Ndour is better than the Greek, before the SL games (from watching videos). And after one game, I said he should be signed, while another poster said he will never be signed by the knicks. That poster is currently in hiding. Be careful before jumping the gun, especially early in their career.

What does this all mean? Nothing.....You will argue your point longer than anybody, whether you believe you are right or wrong.....And that will NEVER change! But at least you came around on Stein, before one of the Stein boys created a thread titled "I told you so BRIGGS".....

KP will be ranked no less than 4th in his draft class, which is great for our rookie GM.

Even better, Grant will be ranked in the top 10 of this draft class, and possibly the second best PG in this draft. At pick 19, thats amazing. Gotta give Phil his credit. He passed on Stein for a Euro guy, eventhough we needed a defensive presence. That took balls.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!
