This game was lost by poor coaching. You have to take control of your team. If you don't have a great floor leader then you can't just let them do their own thing for much of the game. You have to call the plays and make sure the team knows who is supposed to get the shots. You can't have guys out there bumping into each other and taking bad shots possession after possession. Too much JR and ISO Melo and not enough ball and player movement with great spacing. This was the Pistons!!! A few well executed passes and they would give up a great shot, but we let them off the hook with garbage offense. That's on Woody.

Amare's gif is even better than the still. Sensei Amare's sense of time is part of the game but not of the game.

I feel bad for Amare, he's not heading toward Herb Williams status gracefully.

I want Dolan to suffer and feel pain and embarrassment

Dolan doesn't care about the Knicks, just having power over people. He doesn't "suffer" when they lose. A prime example is the entire Isiah Thomas Era. If that wasn't rock bottom then nothing is.

By playing this way the Knicks and primarily Carmelo are hoping that by firing Woodson the blame will be deflected away from the players

Good seeing Stat with more energy, and attacking the rim. Even if he looked like a lost kid at the mall on that one play on D. It was also good seeing JR try harder to set up his teammates which we really need from him right now, more than O. Still dribbling too much, poor shot selection. Sharing the ball seems to help with JR's shot selection. JR took his share of bad shots last year but they were offset by the fact that he was making a lot of them and that he was doing a good job running the O at times. If he can get back to that we should be able to start winning games again.

Bargs was playing too well for Melo to play hero ball. Don't have to like the trade to admit that Bargniani has exceeded most poster's expectations here, so far. At least the realistic ones. Melo wanted another impact player besides him. Bargs is starting to be that guy. Still more moves to make but we have enough right now to start winning games. Time for Melo to stop pouting and start delivering.

Starting Kmart was a good idea by Woodson, at least he's trying to find the right mix. Hope Kmart can last the season because I get the feeling he's going to be needed. I hope Tyson gets back soon because we still have to work him back in the lineup which means more chemistry problems. Would be great to have this sorted out by the end of the year.

good to see some positive comments. I believe that the things will improve, but it is difficult to watch the team looses game after game right now. But this is only 10 games

agree red.

in a deplorable loss last night, there were SOME good things and i think gustav hit the nail on the head with them. watching the game, i was screaming at the tv for the knicks to get bargs back involved. i believe he had 10pts on 4-6 shooting with 4rebs in the first half, only to get basically froze out of the offense in the send half. he's done alot of good things, but most importantly, he's made quick decisions with the ball - as soon as he gets it he knows if he wants to shoot or take it to the hole, which is something i think melo can benefit from doing. amar'e looked good (albeit he had one of the biggest defensive follies ever) he did look energetic and he even threw a dunk done with some ferocity which was good to see.

at this point, we have to take the little things and build on them.

I tuned in a little bit through the 3rd. Didn't see Bargs get a chance to shoot once. He maybe touched the ball 1 or 2 times in the second half. ISO ISO ISO. Melo taking a semi contested 3 in the final minute while Bargs was wide open 10 ft away from him at the 3 pt line stands out to me.

I don't know if I've ever seen an worse defensive play than the one Amare had. I don't know what the heck was going on there.

Yea man Melo was nuts last night. It's like he was trying to sabotage the game. Either that or he still thinks he has to do everything and play hero ball. He is trying to do to much. It's amazing that the Knicks actually pay a guy to coach the team yet allows Melo to get away with this. He also lost his cool. Reminiscent of the Celtics Honey Nut Cheerios game

agreed andrew, i mentioned it as it happened on here. bargs was literally wide open and the extra pass would have been in complete rhythm. it was mind-boggling.

After watching this several times I got pissed off. Amare decided that instead of going out to contest the 3, he was immediately going to get ready for a rebound. He had time to get out there too. He turns before the player even catches the ball!
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

The thought of Stat coaching anyone is truly frightening.
