this loser stands 7 feet tall (inconceivably terrible). His assist numbers- awful considering the amount of time he had the ball in his hands, his defense- atrocious. His contract sucks, his game sucks, and we gave up 3 picks to take this sack of **** off the raptor's hands, and to TOP IT ALL OFF he doesn't fill a need in any way whatsoever, in fact he makes crippled amare redundant. This NEEDS to be a setup for a trade, it HAS to be, if not then wow, just wow.
Please don't post crap without proof. Bargs when healthy is an efficient player. Especially for someone who is playing away from the basket a lot of the time. For 2 seasons before he got hurt he was up around 2 assists a game. So let's not talk ish about a player when most of the problems have come in the last 2 years where he hardly played.
Bargs would fill a need for a scoring big who can also stretch the floor and not get in Melo's way, but still be effective. Then when Melo is off the floor he can post as much as he wants. That fills a need. We just need to coach him up and get him to dig in on D and the boards a bit more. That's how you should be looking at this.
I figured you wouldn't need me to post easily accessible stats from his last couple of seasons, but I'd be happy to if anyone wants it. Last season's stats, straight from basketballreference.com FG%: 39.9%, 3P%: 30.9%, TRB: 3.7, AST: 1.1, STL: .06, BLK: .07, PTS: 12.7..
Now please show me the "crap" of which you speak in my previous post. Based on these numbers I'd say my analysis is quite valid. Now give me the proof for your insights. His 43% career FG% makes a strong case he was never anything more than mediocre AND that's ignoring the other, significantly weaker facets of his game.
