very "meh" pick.

This was my assessment on Hardaway Jr before the draft:

Tim Hardaway Jr. - nice player but seems to be getting hyped off his father's name. He takes really dumb shots and often settles for shots or forces the shot in traffic. He's not a good decision maker and he's pretty inconsistent. He also can't seem to create for himself consistently because of the poor shot selection, which doesn't really fit with the team. Not a good defender. Plays SG, a position I think we are not in dire need for.

The Trey Burke pick makes a little bit more sense now. Still seems like a case of Minnesota making moves for the sake of making moves.

It was a very weak draft and at 24 there is not much talent anyway that will help that much

Whoever San Antonio picks next is who we should have selected.
They know how to draft.

The Spurs know how to do everything. I love The Knicks but the Spurs are the model organization. i mean they ahve been a top team for like 15 years thats hard to do nowadays

True but the spurs always fill in their roster very well to surround those guys

To me you find a guy like this playing in the D league--no special skills not one particular skill that stand out. Smallish body for a 3 not enough skill for a 2. Hope we nab a PG in the 2nd we are painfully thin all over our roster. I think this was a mistake pick for where we are.

Goodwin is a good fit there. No pressure.

Maybe we trade Hardaway for multiple 2nd rounders.

I'd even settle for Muscala and Wolters at this point.

I think some are being a bit too harsh on the Hardaway pick. The kid has legit SG size and skill and he's ready to contribute from day one. He's a solid catch and shoot player who won't have to stand and hold the ball and dribble just to get a shot off. That's gonna help this team be more successful since we already have Melo who wants to ISO every time he gets the ball. We needed more guys that can play within a team concept. He's not the spectacular move, but I think he'll fit into what we do already. I think he'll do just enough of the dribble to be effective. I don't think we need him to constantly look to try and create. I'd prefer we add a drive and kick PG to set up our shooters and have our SG in motion coming off screens so he gets great open looks rather than always going up against a set defense trying to create tougher shots.

Nixluva we got a 2nd round talent here a guy we couldve found in the D league. I wouldve rather had the 7 foot Muscala any of the PGs Mitchell Ledo this was a fair pick at best. Maybe well get lucky and trade it.
