Knicks have no scorers outside of Melo and Smith.

Dont worry we have the MVP Kidd to lead us.

I think Knicks will be fine win or lose.

Also, this game is far from over...

yes thats true however im tired of seeing us get lit up by houston

Knicks are down by like ten points. That is nothing. Where does lit up come from?!?! You need to relax and let the game play out. Even if this is a loss, I can live with it, since our roster is somewhat decimated.

The quality of play in this game says that we are getting LIT UP. The Rockets are getting whatever they want against us. I don't see an adequate response, do you?

Knicks are down by 14. Lit up would be more akin to what we did to the Lakers which was 41 points in a quarter. Lit up would be the 130+ points we gave up to HOU the firs time we played. Put on your big boy pants and stop whining.

The reality is the Knicks offense is generally trash without Melo. We can't score consistently and JR / Chandler are in foul trouble (these are two of our best defenders). When I saw that Melo was not playing I knew this game would be problematic.

I think the team has a certain kind of offensive chemistry that is disrupted w/o Melo and they have a hard time recovering from it. Melo ignites the team from the start of the game and opens the floor up for the three point shooters. Without him, unless the Knicks are passing extremely well and hitting their outside shots, they're going to struggle. But, to say the O is 'trash' w/o him is a bit much. This is still the same team that beat the Heat w/o Melo AND in the first game with Melo having a bad shooting night from the floor.

To followup up on Lin

He is struggling but a good player & Harden is star of team

But come on now neither Jermey Lin and Harden is 1st tier players which
Knicks are making each look like Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan

I don't like it !
when teams which pg's such as Rondo or Deron Williams plays the Jeremy Lins
even DWade believe you me they are shutting his hiney down !

Eh, while that's true every team can look for excuses.
To me it doesn't mather how or to who we lose to, it's always painful.

This

Well, you guys have no perspective. I do. The Knicks will lose anywhere from 20 to 30 games this year. They are going to lose games. No need to get bent out of shape over any particular reg. season loss. Also, this game is far far far from over. We got totally blasted in HOU. This is not remotely similar.

No perspective? I just don't see why I should "accept" any loss because you know a team isn't going to win every time they step on the court. I know they aren't going to win every game, but when they lose it's always tough and for me it's normal to not feel ok about it.
Just because you know no team is going to go 82-0 it doesn't mean a loss is "acceptable" because of that.
You lose because you don't play well enough, and you know they can play better.

You don't see why we should not get bent out of shape in a game THAT IS NOT EVEN OVER where the opposing team is fully healthy and we are missing 3 starters and multiple bench players? Ok. To each their own.

this is true, but when your winning and your an elite team regardless who's on the floor, you get spoil..no excuse's

I can't complain without "getting bent out of shape"?
I know this isn't even close to our best team, but this is when our depth should come into play, but it didn't.

I'm the first one to cheer the Knicks on when I see something good, but I don't know why I'm not allowed to complain when I see fit.

I'm not going to create a thread stating the Knicks are crap, but I'm going to continue to be upset about this game for several reasons unless we somehow manage to scrape out a win.

And I'll also say this. I usually have a good feeling about the Knicks coming back in the game when down by double digits, but then again usually Melo plays. Without him the Knicks have no idea what to do on offense, and they're not exactly playing great D either. I want to have that "good feeling" this game, but so far I don't have it/haven't got it.

Yeah Knicks are depleted and puts players in uncomfortable situations. We will be fine when we get some bodies back. We are playing like our 3rd stringers lol. Copland stunk it up, we have James white and Kurt playing minutes. What are we to expect.

that would mean in general Kidd, Felton, Brewer, Prigs, White all allowing penetration.

for the most part I think it's very difficult for any guard to stay in front of a starting caliber NBA guard so it boils down to team defense: helping and rotating to help the helper, etc.

You are free to be upset. I am free to share my take on things. We can agree to disagree and keep it moving. It is all just discussion. I've seen enough of the Knicks to know that they struggle without Melo because they have no one other that Felton and JR that can create shots and those guys are low % scorers at very best. Our three point shooters don't get quality looks without Melo on the court.

The defense has sucked and our better defensive players are in foul trouble.

All that said, the game is still winnable. We will see how the second half plays outs. 14 points is not insurmountable.

agree
good point

since he cant give you offense, defense is why NY brought him here

They need to commit Brewer to either Harden (With help) OR to Lin

Some defender on knicks got to knock Lin OR harden off their game

They are not gonna win this game in an offensive shootout

its stupid
I am disappointed in Raymond

he thinks all is scoring he needs to put some pressure on someone in red jersey

Knicks cannot generate enough offense to beat Houston unless Smith or Felton go off.
