It would be dumb to pass on Lin. He obviously makes up for the contract and any luxury tax through marketing and tv deals with the Chinese market, and is a promising player to boot.

However, as much of a mistake as it would be, losing Lin would not be something we can't come back from. Our PG rotation would still be looking alright even with Felton.

I'll wait to see the official news before I believe any of this though. Too much craziness going with the whole situation.

Felton gets to the rim , throws alleys, and turns the ball over. Meh, I can deal with it.

Huh? what's that mean in English? I don't read troll.

Uh no. Its called Lin doesnt want to be here move. He didnt have to sign a toxic deal like that. Pretty sure Knicks would have matched the 4 yr 30 million dollar deal.

Lin just trying to cash in. I dont blame Lin and I dont blame the Knicks. Lin gets paid and Knicks get not be ripped off. Everyone wins.

What makes you think the 4 yr $30M was still avaialble once Morey made the switch? Oh wait - you have been trying to get rid of Lin from day 1.

Lets be clear. If Lin wanted to be here he could have taken what the Knicks offered like JR Smith.

Lin will now be "The Man" on that Houston team and sure to put up stats. He gets to showcase his game nightly and be the face f the franchise. This is a no brainer for someone trying to get PAID. This is a business and Lin isnt stupid.

If you love Lin so much get League Pass. I watch Jennings plenty and he slipped through the Knicks fingers too.

Anything Anubis likes is awful. This guarantees it's a bad move. I don't rememeber the last move this man endorsed that actually turned out good.

Then again, he is a fan of the Isiah Thomas era.

Everyone calm down. No way we let go of Lin. Felton replaces Landry who is officially gone now.

I'm calling bluff. I think NY is trying to get back to Houston by playing hardball to them too. I do believe they are considering this Felton move, but mainly to mess with Houston's plans as much as they messed with us. They mess up our chance at CP3? Lets rain on their Dwight Howard parade all we want.

Dudes want to insult me because Lin might no be retained.

Almost as funny as guys crying over Felton, Gallinari, Mozgov, and Randolph in the Melo trade.

You act like we are letting Nash, D Williams, or Paul walk or something. The guy played great for 25 games and the rest was mediocrity.

How can you take an offer you've never been given? JR's been making money for 8 years and can afford to take a paycut. This is Lin's first big contract.

I dont understand how this is the Knicks organizations fault?

He could have showed the Houston offer to NY WITHOUT signing it. No one put a gun to Lin's head to sign that deal. He chose to sign it knowing the Knicks possibly wouldn't match.

It's that simple.

Are you dense, bro? The Knicks wanted him to sign an offer sheet to test his market value. If anything, the Knicks weren't aggressive in wanting him back. They went after Nash, Kidd and Felton instead of engaging him.

Knicks never made an offer to Lin. They told him to go get an offer first and then they'd match. I don't know if they expected this kind of Deal, but they did in fact tell Lin to seek offers 1st.

ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! THINGS DONE CHANGED.

As for Woody, we have to remember that he is a LARRY BROWN, ball control, anti rookie style coach. Woody is as far from MDA as you can get coaching wise. Lin is an MDA style PG. The way the team is moving is towards a halfcourt slow it down offense and a tough D. I think that is what is going on here. The Knicks have completely gone away from anything resembling the team they were trying to be under MDA. Now they have Melo and so they add Kidd and it starts to make sense. This is why Woody wants Tyson and Amar'e to learn post moves. He's gonna institute a ground and pound style. No more run n gun, SSOL or anything like that. No more Guard penetration, PnR motion offense.

Then why are we bringing in Felton, a guy who put up his best numbers under MDA and then bitched and moaned about the slow-it-down style he had to play in Portland?

Yeah, let's say Lin does this. Then the Knicks make him wait forever and eventually Houston retracts their offer. If I've just been on 10 day and league min contracts and someone throws $25 mil at me, I'm signing!
