BTW can we all agree if this guy comes over the the US we have to call him Big Papa?

Only man I've ever allowed myself to call "Big Papa" is The Notorious B.I.G. and for one song only.

And I think this is the point Ron and I are arguing. Every guy picked in the 2nd or was predicted to be picked in the second had the potential to contribute this next coming season.

The Knicks might have picked differently if they lost the Bird's Rights Case. If they don't bring back Davis or Bibby and everyone else comes back from last year they have two open roster spots. I believe they are planning on bringing everyone back including Gadz. With the MLE and LLE they can sign two players. I think knowing the outcome of the case, if they took a non euro they would need him to go to Europe anyway as there would not be a roster space for him. I think this was a smart pick by Grunwald. I was disappointed because I wanted Machado or Odom but with the Bird's Rights Case resolved the pick makes sense with the Knicks roster situation.

A New York Knicks The pick was booed on Thursday night, but Knicks fans may wind up liking Greek forward Kostas Papanikolaou when he arrives -- likely in 2013-14, because his Olympiakos contract has a reasonable $1 million buyout option next summer. Papanikolaou, an intense competitor, was the MVP of the Euroleague Final Four, where he scored a game-high 18 points in Olympiakos' victory over CSKA Moscow in the final.

please don't leave us and mentor/learn as you can teach off your brother as much as you can learn some IQ of him.

1 more year out of your contract and we can get early bird rights, and pay you the contract we know you deserve.

Who are you referring to? JR Smith? why does he deserve more than what he makes right now? The guy is an immature chucker.

He is quite erratic. Look at OJ Mayo, many people like OJ Mayo here, he is a younger version of JR Smith.
Regardless, as a 6th man type player, he has the ability to get his shot off, defend, and can be one hell of a shooter if he feels hot.
Telling me he is not worth more than 2.8m, you are just being naive.

He is worth AT LEAST 3-5m per year, easy, at a multiyear deal.
So if he chooses to stay, he is doing us a favor, we aren't doing him a favor at that price.

Well I like Mayo but he is not the shooter JR is or the defender. I still would take him to replace TD.

We cant afford mayo...please dismiss any thoghts of getting him
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
