Im not so sure on that one.

agreed. bibby is at least capable. toney needs to prove he's even that.

Maybe Woodson can fix Toney. He is a good kid and works so hard.

We are due for a Woody smiley.

How about this one or related to this?

The shooting percentage (FT and FG) still needs work, but that's pretty much the kind of production we need from a star.

i'd like his shot to look better, but he's playing really well right now. this is the guy i thought we were getting in the trade.

seriously, what's up with the shooting? is his wrist still not right from before?

for whatever reason, he's had a lot of offensive sequences where he misses his shot, gets his rebound, and misses that shot. Or misses his shot, gets the rebound, draws the foul. Or something like that.

Something is off. He used to be cash from the free throw line too. Didn't he have wrist surgery over the off-season?

dunno about that, but he injured his wrist in the memphis game in january and he hasn't been the same since. think he had something like 3 or 4 straight 30pt+ early in the season and then after the wrist injury he hasn't gone over 20pts too many times.

Team is really dangerous if Melo starts to hit shots like before the injury.

over his last 10 he's shooting 41.6. not good but at least it is trending upward

Hahn made a good point. Woodson playing STAT & Melo together a lot no more than Dantoni who would go long periods of time with only 1 of them on the floor

yeah, and they're actually playing well together and passing to each other.

melo hit stat with a beautiful pass that should have been a dunk, but he was fouled. then next few trips down amar'e hits melo for a dunk. then melo hits tyson for a dunk for good measure.

it's nice to see.

I think its mental. Has been hesitating/thinking a bit too much out there. I think he needs 1 break out game and he should be fine.

What I have been liking is that the past two games they are winning with out having Novak explode which is big. I like that they are not relying on the three ball to win but are just playing good defense and creating turnovers down the stretch with the first unit or most of the first unit. Against the Pacers it was without STAT.

One thing to take the D to the next level is to get STAT and Novak to learn how to hedge and get back quickly with their hand up. They have the tendency to ver extend and try to trap then lose their man with they get back or they get switched on to the pg, which is bad.

I'm just glad they stopped the switching nonsense..makes a great difference in our defense.

It's amazing to me that Mike D'Antoni couldn't get them to work together and he seemed to keep them separated for long periods of time. They are your 2 biggest stars, you need to get the playing time together.

So far I am liking what I have seen from the Woodson Knicks, hopefully it continues. It's crazy how different the team seems, I guess there was a lot more going on behind the scenes between Mike and the team or maybe his system wasn't right for NY.

I will admit I didn't think much of Woodson when he was hired, not knowing much about him and the fact that he was coming from Atlanta which hasn't been an elite team. However, after 4 games it's clear he has coaching skills. This season has been a roller coaster.

I also really wanted to see MDA make it work here, I think it would have been pretty special. I am ok that it didn't work out. Woodson has started off on the best foot possible and is easy to want to root for - that is a major plus for the franchise.
