Geez, these guys swore by their fallen coach too...SMH

I think they respected him too much to dogg him publicly in the media. It seems like everyone talks about how much of a nice guy he is.

Thats because they are running MDA's offense.

And this is the defense that MDA preached the whole year but Melo sabotaged it. And Melo paind Stat half his salary to do the same (but not tell anybody).

i'm telling you - Baron will be starting in a week. he might be a better fit for the starting lineup.

And? If that is better for the team are you not ok with it?

as i said: "he might be a better fit for the starting lineup." that's my opinion and i think it might be the best move.

yes, i'm okay with it. i root for the team to win.

i'm disgusted by melo's behavior - he was clearly dogging it and it was bringing down the whole team.

if they needed a new voice, fine. i don't have to like how it happened.

but i want the team to win. and i was one of the biggest cheerleaders for the baron move. i thought he'd play the PG perfectly with melo and amar'e. and it's looking like he might be able to. anyone who said baron was washed up did not watch him play for cleveland last year. 18ppg 9apg, led them to a lot of big wins, including over the heat.

We would've gotten destroyed by Portland if Dantoni was still coaching. Is obvious the players wanted a new voice

i'll believe it if they go better than 2-8 over the next ten. anyone can beat portland right now.

Im as skeptical as you, but this team has been so awful, they could easily be winning or trailing by only 2 points and give up the game in the third.

So far so good. Good subbing by Woodson, nice to see him pull Smith out when he was jacking up bad shots. Melo and Stat doing a nice job all around. Some very good D and a good job of taking advantage of stops.

Wouldn't mind Baron at all in starting lineup, if he's all the way back. If anything Lin with the 2nd unit would run alot more.

That run and gun no defense MDA system was played out..

yea like encouraging fields, jeffries, td, walker, Jorts to keep shooting and alienating Amare & Melo!

i'm not rooting against them. i'm waiting to see them beat a quality opponent. the doubleheader against the pacers is HUGE. if they can sweep that, it'd be a crazy good sign for the rest of the season.

they SHOULD be able to beat the pacers. they match up well with that team.

This was a winnable game regardless of who was coaching. besides nothing has changed. No more extra ISO's for STAT or Melo have been run. This is still the same offense we've been running and they've just picked up the D with I might add the inclusion of Jared which helps. I want Woodson to succeed, but I'm not gonna say he's responsible for this game being so one sided. Explain how he could really have impacted any substantial change with no practice to change anything?

I think if anything we could say that the drama being over may have taken a weight off the players shoulders and that has allowed them to play a bit more free, but you can't make an argument that Woodson has made some major changes to impact the way the team plays. This is still SSOL they're running.

Holy Crap! My man Lin must have as many TO as assists and the Knicks are still crushing this pathetic team. WOW! I do not think I have ever seen a team play a worse half of basket ball than Portland. Hey...MDA...I think there may be a job available in Portland. What happened to Felton? What a trainwreck! I love the way Melo is staying out beyond the 3 point line too. Where was that under MDA? ROTFLMAO! I hope the Knicks don't actually think they are playing well...because Indiana ain't gonna ball like this on Friday.

Agreed, that's the true test. Not Knicks West...Poor Nate.

No one was complaining about the level of competition during Linsanity but now all of a sudden its an issue? I agree we are going to have to beat better teams but its funny how all of a sudden its more about the other team than us.

After 6 games of Dumbtoni losses, we'll take any win!

Knicks win this game and they can at least start to mount a come back for the playoffs this year. They've got everything in their own hands, cuz they play teams ahead of them to close out the season. This is still doable.
