I wonder at what point we should stop calling them stars.

Stephen A. after the Heat game said Lin has been exposed. i think Lin has exposed STAT and MELO as Frauds.

Steven A is a moron. First he says that it is on Melo...then Melo has a good ending versus the Celtics and he says Lin is OK. Wake up Steve "A"....stick with your first impression. Melo is the issue. He ruins the flow of the game and makes Lin more passive.

Denver wouldn't give you Gallinari for him, straight up, right now. That's a fact.

I said that in the past.. and people thought I was nuts.. LOL... now I think some are starting to agree...

He didn't sound too happy in the post games, being asked what the problem is with this team.

Does anyone in their right mind (provided you have one) really think you're getting Deron or DHow for Melo+anything short of the rest of the team at this point?

So much for the theory that less ho pics on the game thread means better outcomes.

So to speak.

We saw first hand down the stretch Gallo winning a game by himself against NY when he came back. Gallo was the guy Denver wanted all along and they signed him to an extension. All the other guys were icing.

Melo has more game than Gallo, that is true. Melo has more pure talent. However, Gallo makes it up with his attitude and integrity. It's plain to see now, but I absolutely hated trading Gallo. Put him next to Stat and Chandler with Lin and you have something. The problem now is that Melo and Stat like the same spots on the floor and both of them see more help defense because of the other and Chandler. The spacing is poor. Melo can step out and hit the occassional 3 but its not his game. Gallo on the other hand, stands out there, thus creating space for STAT and when he has to he takes it to the rim very effectively. The perfect piece to the MDA offense. Oh and Gallo actually tries on defense and actually does a decent job. Gallo also takes the last shot without hesitation.

We should have known 2 years ago when Melo came in with Denver and Gallo matched him man to man at the end of the game. We saw it again this year only too bad, Gallo was in the other uniform.

This may go down as one of the worse trades in NY Knick history.

MDA is doomed to fail with Melo. I was very hesitant about putting the blame on Melo but after watching him since he got here....Dude is a coach and team killer.

George Karl is laughing his ass off.

I am watching the show on NBA TV about the Nuggets, and Karl seems like a good guy. He is happy, enjoying himself. Thanks his team for the effort they give him. It's plain to see who the problem was there too.

Get ready for it - Act II is starting. What show? Oh it's the same story with a new star. Its the Marbury Chronicles starring Carmelo Anthony.

I wish I had those Denver Nugget problems.....winning 50+ games every year. What a mess that was!

Melo is the easy culprit. And he deserves crticism. But the coach is the problem.

Coach is a big part of the problem. but the fact of the matter is we were winning when melo was out. could we have won if melo was still out last night? who knows, but at least we would've played team basketball and PLAYED SOME F'N DEFENSE!!!!

I was screaming that all along.. but most posters would just answer.. melo>> chandler, gallo and felton..

so OK..

sometimes NY fans deserve the mess this organization dishes out... birds of a feather...

but good analysis... now on another board, you have a contingent of people saying start baron davis because lin has more chemistry with the second unit.... rofl!! you mean the second unit that went 8-1? I have an idea, bench amare and melo and start lin and chandler with the second unit...

I at one point didn't think it was a bad idea to get melo as a FA.. but when the trade came up and we gave up everything including the rights to radio city music hall, i was pissed... for me, this is the worst trade in knicks history...

I know there was one play early in the third when LIn and Amare ran a pick and roll and amare couldn't hold onto the ball. I started watching other things shortly after so I don't know if they ran it anymore. Sometimes I think amare is trying so hard to prove his explosion is back that he messes up the easy play.
