this is one of the clear differences between amar'e and our previous "superstars."

of course, gallo and felton were vital, but the person we expect to lead us wasn't taken aback by a young player's big game.

you do what you can do as well, to your strengths, to keep the opposition's confidence at bay.

amar'e's performance wasn't just about being a showman, it seemed to fit into what i believe a leader of a team does.

you don't back down, you uplift your team's confidence in the face of challenges, and keep working hard.

yes, defensively, he wasn't his best, but to me i am very happy this cat is a knick.

now, yes, but this dude is gonna be a beast.

mvp calls are not far from reality down the road.

that's gonna depend on some of the decisions Donald sterling makes with his organization.

Griffin is special though.

I still have thoughts about him being a product of roids.

Just about impossible to guard him 1/1, though, and he is a very intelligent player.

He did it once or twice, but he should really look to use the backboard on a consistent basis when he is shooting from an angle in that 7-14 ft turnaround jumper range.

Only thing that might hold his career down is the injury bug.

He is not the same guy we saw in the beginning of the year. I have to think that the hand injury was an issue, not only for his shooting, but it would have kept him from driving more, also.

He has never been as active on the floor as he's been recently, and his endurance seems better.

The number of foul shots he has been drawing and his ability to drive to the basket, seemingly at will, has been pretty amazing to watch.

Hope this is something that continues.

I don't think it was his wrist but more his feelings hurt.....

In pre-season Gallo was playing good ball...... Then the fukcing Melo rumors and Walsh
saying he would listen to offers for Gallo.....

You can tell that by his body mannerisms on court...... And from his approach to game.

Gallo even last year showed he can do these things.... Just won't do it in Denver

Hope this shuts up everyone saying trade Gallo for Melo but I know it wont

The Knicks played a great game. Now all we have to do is get some defense all 4 quarters. Amare is a classie player.

Gallo is stepping up and playing like a man...Finally, right? I've been on him pretty good for awhile now but I gotta give credit where credit's due.

A few thoughts:
* DAMN, GRIFFIN IS FEROCIOUS! You don't usually see players built that thick explode like that. It's like watching a guy with Carlos Boozer's build dunking like Lebron. Sick stuff.
* It's games like this that help me realize what big man, athletic finisher (like Amare) can bring to the Knicks. As much as I think David Lee is a statistically excellent player, with numbers potentially surpassing those of Amare, the way you score and the way other teams have to defend against you has a profound impact on the game.
* Gallo is in an impressive groove. Ultra-confident right now. I'd like to see him pick up another 2-3 rebounds a game, but he's been a real weapon, all enabled by his drives to the basket. His occasional explosions to the basket are keeping the defense off balance.
* While we beat 3 below average teams, these were all road victories, making them much more significant. In order to become a playoff team, you have to capitalize against these weaker teams.
* Without factoring tonight's games, Felton (at least statistically) is holding his own vs Chris Paul. 17.3ppg/4.2rpg/7.3apg vs 17.5ppg/4.7rpg/10.2apg. You'd expect Felton's numbers to continue to improve, at least in the assist department.
* Turiaf should put up career numbers across the board if he can stay healthy.
* The Knicks' interior defense is terrible - is Curry the answer? It feels like our big man depth is awfully short. Mozgov is currently getting pushed around a bit. At least with Curry, he was extremely difficult to move off the block with his size.

Forgot about that. Yeah- that was a factor, and I even wrote about it.

Definitely playing with a little swagger now.

No doubt about the swagger.. I wonder if he's just one of those guys who will start slow each season. His stroke is money right now and he's mxing it up, very well.

Felton looks great, the dude is really making some clutch plays and hitting big shots.

The only sore spot, even after 3 straight wins is our interior defense. We challenge plenty of shots, but we're getting up on guys way too often. Back off and make them hit a contested jumper, rather then allow opponents of break down our D.

It's getting a bit ridiculous how many young players we're giving career highs and historic nights, but 3-1 after a road trip is a much needed boost in the arm of this team.
