This guy isnt going to do a dam thing in the NBA. Why do people insist on talking themselves into hyping garbage picks.

These guys will not sniff the court.

And picks 40-the last will?

those guys seemed like they could be added as udfa's.

I agree that it's possible, but who knows. The second round, especially, is a crapshoot. I just think you guys have different goals than the Knicks management. If we don't get LeBron and Bosh, I think these picks are not very good. If we do, I think the picks make sense. These moves tell me that the Knicks are pretty confident, because they intentionally drafted role players, not high-ceiling projects.

lance/sylvan/zoubek/etc werent capable of being role players though?

It's possible that they'd be decent. I was just highlighting that center wasn't the only need and we don't really know what else might be in the works. There were centers available, but I can't say I was fully sold on any of them.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

At least gimmie the 7 footer from Rutgers - N'Diaye. Second best shot-blocker in this draft and they worked him out and supposedly liked him a lot..

Always good to be super negative.

Anyway, on a team with four players under contract, where we're potentially in the situation of signing two max players, one veteran and then filling up with NBA minimum contracts, you think these two guys have zero chance of sniffing the court. OK.

Simple put these are wasted picks. Do you see the picks Miami made? Do you see the picks the Nets made?

Lebron must be dying to play with Douglas.

We needed some guys with upside. Willie Warren and Lance Stephon were guards with upside. We got neither. I have been watching the Knicks for awhile now. I know where this is going.

Fields can score bottom line. He's a smart player who's team had a relatively poor year. But this guy wasn't hoisting shots to lead the conference in scoring. He shot 49%. He was also 2nd in the conference in rebounding and a top 20 player in the draft in terms of getting steals. I think its just a guy that flew under the radar that can play the game.

These were panic picks. We got a couple shooters to make the roster a little more LeBron-ready.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I feel much better now. This means Andy Rautins and Landry Fields will be better players.

2nd-round picks are not a crapshoot . . . if you know what you're doing. Case in point: Trevor Ariza, picked #43.

I don't agree that we needed picks with upside and I don't think that that's the way Knicks management was thinking either. If we miss on our goals this offseason, this is a bad draft for us, obviously. Right now we're going all in, so let's just wait and see. I think these players will be complimentary off the bench.

My only comment is I think we couldve filled some needs and possibly got both of these players after the draft--it is the 2nd round but I think the strategy was poor.

We laugh at Cleveland's supporting cast yet you're trying to tell me those 2 scrubs we drafted are even going to get off the bench.

Well, I can see I won't convince you. Let's revisit in a year if we get LeBron+ and we'll see if they have an impact. If we don't get LeBron/Wade/Bosh/etc... I will immediately concede that these picks suck.

I just don't see the point of getting this worked up about two second round picks.

How I look at it too. I wanted us to sign Routins after the draft. You had Jordan, Alabi, and Torrance, as well as Stephenson and Warren (who I am not a fan of) available.

I hope that Donnie knows about something we are unaware of.
