DLee fits with the Thunder. I wonder if it would just be a Lee-Rubio swap. What else would the Knicks have to pad it with? Chandler? #28? $3M?

if Lee agrees to a trade he gives up his Bird rights.

it would be a S&T so I don't know how Bird rights would matter.

so its back to the question of does Lee want to play for the Thunder and vice versa?

yup

and would they give up Rubio to complete a trade for Lee? Boozer may be available and they can sign him outright.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

Rubio for Lee straight up seems weird to me too. Booz may ask for a LOT more money than Lee, so that is a consideration. Booz is making $12.5M and wants a raise, Lee will demand less. And age. Lee is 2 years younger. And doesn't have knee problems or whatever.

I totally agree. This is the reason I was not mad that Walsh stood pat with Lee and Nate the way he did. There is still many routes available and no matter what anyone says about negotiating this way is illegal, teams do things like this all the time.

This would be a great move.

if memphis wasn't run by a mentally challenged individual, they should draft rubio and sign lee as a free agent.

That draft guy, Doug, in the sportscenter mock draft has the Knicks picking Holiday.

Chad Ford claims that Minny is shopping either the 5th or 6th pick to get a young proven veteran. David Lee?

How is that possible?

The David Lee question is just by me. I just remembered that DLee signed the qualifying offer and is now a restricted FA so you are right. Maybe The Mayor? He did not say that is was the knicks. The Chad being The Chad.

The Doug guy has Minny picking Curry then Harden.

Reading the Alan Hahn chat from earlier this morning, and someone brought up a rumor from a Chicago blog that if the Knicks didn't see their top choices at #8, they'd trade Eddy and 8 for Brad Miller and 16...

I only wish it were true. That is an ideal trade barring a draft miracle.

Feeling guilty for taking advantage of our previous mentally-challenged GM?
