& yet on another possession he swats Chris Bosh's shot into the stands, stands, yells, pumps his fists & raises up the crowd, even while the team is leading by over 20.

like i said before, he makes me doubt sometimes whether his posing & celebrations are team oriented or just plain self aggrandizing type behavior... i tend to think it's the latter w/Nate... but hey, as long as he keeps playing great that's really all that matters in the long run... just hope he gets it one day cuz it's clear to me he still hasn't fully gotten it.

This i can live with, its not letting up the intensity even though it looks like we've got the game in the bag. Like you i wasnt a big fan of Nate, but his recent play has been inspiring. Lets see if he can keep this up and what his contract demands will be.

his recent play has been nothing short of spectacular, i can't argue w/u there... if he keeps it up i will definitely not be looking at him as being trade bait only... & actually i was & still am a fan of Nate... when he's lighting it up there isn't a more exciting player to watch on this team... i'm a big fan of David Lee too, but i've been proposing he be traded as well... this doesn't stem from my dislike for these guys, it's more out of what i think might be best for the NY Knicks' franchise in the longrun... my #1 loyalty always goes to the team first & foremost before any individual player i may like.

Dont worry, i think believe that Walsh will pull the trigger in trading Lee and Nate if its for the future of the franchise

Donnie's proven to me that he knows what he's doing (w/the exception of Anthony Robersuck... & the jury's gonna be out on the Gallinari pick for another year or 2 at the very least)... i'm gonna trust in whatever he does cuz i see a definite plan being implemented here for the first time in years.

If he does it once in awhile, I don't mind. He hasn't been doing nearly as much lately. For the rest of the game, it was all playing. Same with San Antonio and even before that for a decent couple of games. The important thing is he's letting his play talking.

I see certain superstars acting like jackarses a lot more than Nate, btw.

i'm sure there are... but whenever i see guys like Lebron, Kobe, Allen Iverson, etc. scoring points in a blowout win or loss they're not posing & celebrating unless we're talking about a spectacular dunk over someone to posterize them... guys like Magic, MJ, Bird, etc. never did it either... the real legends act like they've been there before... would just like some of that mindset to rub off a little on Nate, that's all i'm saying... youthful exuberance is 1 thing but something tells me w/Nate it's a little more... just a feeling i get.

& btw, i'm not saying i expect Nate to be a legend (i know i'm bound to get that comment from 1 of you cacas)

It might be a little more, but I just don't see him as a pure showboat the way I do. He's here to win, and he's playing like it. Yes, I do completely agree he still needs to take strides in doing a better job channeling his energy. Trust me on that. However, I just feel he's improved a lot already and his pure mission now, is to win.

Wilson Chandler had a breakaway dunk over Chris Bosh in the 4th quarter while the team was up by 30... u didn't see him celebrating or posing afterwards, he just ran back up the court & slapped hands w/Nate who dished him the ball... if the roles were reversed u tell me what u think Nate woulda done.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the way Nate is playing basketball these days

To pick on his every single enthusiastic gesture that does not conform to some imaginary rule of order, while sitting at home, is just nuts

The crowd at The Garden was not complaining. They cheered. If he was not "into" the game someone would question his lack of passion. Sheesh.

The young man is constantly evolving into a special player

You go Nate

Wow, I think you guys really have a thing about showboating. All I know is the Garden loves this guy. Did you hear all the cheers this guy gets when he comes in the game? Do you see how excited they get every time he is involved in any play? Even Clyde is calling his play "magnificent" and that he is showing poise. So if the young man gets a little excited about doing something positive, so be it. He as much as any other Knick should be allowed.

Say what you want, but I haven't seen a Knick get the Garden this excited in a while. He seems to connect to the crowd and they connect to him. So in short, if he show boats and you don't like it, I guess that's your right to feel as you wish but to keep beating it to death even after a wonderful game that we've seen tonight, makes it look like you can't get past his animated personality and showmanship and in fact, it appears to eat at you something fierce. Is this the case TMS?

Here is the bottom line

Over the last 2 weeks or so Nate Robinson has been just about as good as any player in the entire league. Thats how good hes been. If you never watched an NBA game before 2 weeks ago, and just got very hardcore into it over this recent span, you would probably come to the conclusion that Nate Robinson was one of the top 5-6 players in the entire NBA. Thats how well hes playing recently. In the last 5 games

28.0 ppg
6.8 rebs
6.4 ast
1.2 turnovers
52.3% FGs

Just abusing the Spurs every way imaginable with the game on the line during this stretch. He has not been good, he has been all world over the last 2 weeks. He keeps playing like this hes making himself more $$ each day

hey man, u can bite my left buttcheek cuz i'll make whatever the farg observations about any of these players i want... everything i've said about Nate are fair observations... if u wanna continue to view this team via the rose colored glasses u've grown accustomed to that's ur prerogative... just cuz people pick out small criticisms about these players doesn't mean they're not worth discussing.

nah, it doesn't eat at me like that... just some concerns i have about his approach & whether or not i can envision this guy to be a part of a winning formula down the road... u're free to disagree, that's what this forum is for.

it's how he's wired which is why i dunno if he'll ever change... but like i said as long as he keeps playing like a stud it's not that much of a big deal... maybe w/time he'll grow out of it a little but i'm not holding my breath on that one.

Nate said he is working on Chandler to get him to showboat to the crowd but Chandler refuses. LOL, Nate knew how bad that sounded and couldn't keep a straight face during post game interview.

You know the funny thing is, some people say the TC is a little too stoic but if he keeps putting the rock in the hole like last night. He can be Gentlemen Jim for the rest of his career for all I care...
