Playoff teams win games like this.

Shitty Marbury-led teams lose'em.

I actually didn't blame him for this. Yeah he made a mistake, but we should've been further in the lead if this team is making shots. We're an offensive team and we were totally out of sync. Part of that was Isiah trying to get more D, which I agree with for the longterm success of the team. It was the 1st time he broke away from the tight rotation and we had some very different lineups out there. PEOPLE LET'S NOT MAKE THIS INTO A FEDERAL CASE! I don't think we should just assume that this team won't play better than this. Was this our normal rotation or style of play? HECK NO! I think as time passes by and we start to work Mardy into the rotation we'll get some good results. I thought he was pretty good considering he hasn't played.

See unlike the LOSER FAKE FANS who can't wait for this team to have a bad stretch to declare the sky is falling, i'm not gonna jump off the bandwagon and cry about a bad loss or 2. I think this hurts more due to the upcoming road trip. The loss of Q and the idea the we don't know when ZBo will rejoin the team. Still that won't last forever. It's so early that i'm not even close to panicking over these losses. I'll leave that for the group of guys here who can't see the forest for the trees in an 82 game schedule. People wrote the team off when we had the suspensions last year too and the team responded. Don't be so quick to assume this team can't refocus and get back on track.

Free throw is a free throw I don't care if you haven't played or not once Mardy missed those two free throws all the red flags went up and you knew right there the chance of losing had just went up enormously.

What are you going to do if that coach start loosing? Hope that he loose 10 or 20 in a row too??? We need to win now. I could care less about your sick hate for Zeke. Why don't you think about what you said. Some fan you are. Rooting for the opponit. Thats being a traitor.

I don't know who you were aiming that at?

Wishing that the Knicks loose 10 games in a row shows that you care nothing for this team. You only care about your presonal hate towards one man. The Knicks isn't about one man. It's about the whole team. So I ask whose side are you on when you are rooting for the other team to win.

I never said the Knicks should lose 10-20 games. I'm not a sadist. I root for the orange and blue no matter how upset I am after this loss. Next game will be a totally seperate entity. Hopefully they win so I can praise them for their effort. But today the lack of effort and their heart not being in it to take care of business I can not stand for that.

Nixluva, maybe having Mardy in can change things a little, but when you have 3 or 4 other players who can't D up, then it really does little. The entire makeup of the team needs to be changed. We need 2 way players. I don't know how to do it, but it needs to be done, if we want to start building towards a championship. The Zach Randolf trade was as dumb as it can get, unless you play on trading Eddie for a shotblocker.

I have come to the conclusion that this backcourt has to go.... yea, I may be a year late, but I am convinced, actuall, I was an advocate of having crawford come off the bench.... We are no more than a 35 win team with this backcourt and defense...

I think change is coming. Don't assume that we're not gonna do anything to make adjustments if things aren't working. I also don't think that this team is totally lost. You can see how good the team can be when it's executing. I think we just need to have Isiah make the right adjustments to the rotation. I honestly believe that we have players on this team that can get it done, but it's a fine balance to get the right combination. This is going to be Isiah's toughest job this year. Figuring out how to make it work. I really think we're gonna get the mix right and play better. How often do you think our offense will be nonexistant like it was tonight? I would say more often than not, this team is gonna score a lot of points.

These 5 games have been very informative and I think Isiah can use them to make the decision to play Mardy more, in an effort to make the team more solid defensively. We still need the contributions from Jamal, but he may have to come off the bench or have his minutes cut to allow for more time for Mardy. He's clearly the best defensive PG we have. When Zach comes back we'll have enough scoring punch, so we can give up some offense for better D. Rather than panic and assume the sky is falling I think this is all part of the process.

I totally agree. The more they lose, the greater the chance of Isiah making changes. It's called desperation to hold onto the last high level NBA job he's ever going to see for a long time.

Nix, I was at the game on Friday, and here's what I saw. I was not disappointed so much by the loss as much as by the fact that the team:
- had ZERO flow all night
- aside from Zach's string of nice jumpers, no one ever got in a groove
- ball movement for the most part stunk, and when we did find an open player he proceeded to miss open shots
- when the same happened for the opposition, they hit them,
- Jameer Nelson took the ball to the hole at least 4-5 times like he was Baron Davis, and he's not (and this follows the pattern of our defense making mediocre opposing PG's looking like all-stars)
- Turkoglu had an open shot anytime he wanted it.
- as much as I wish it were otherwise, Balkman is NOT ready to step into a starting role

I bought tix to 6 games this year, and I'm really disappointed by the product on the floor. Hard as hell to get excited about them. No team identity, focus, or hustle.

This game was a textbook - "How you should not coach in NBA"
Isiah is one of the worts coaches I ever seen.
One guy is out and all his system on offense totaly broke. And his defensive system never even existed.
I am not tolking about him as GM - this is lost case already. This team after all spendings has no depth. But his coaching is equally bad if not even worth.
I used to blame the players but I am close to changing my mind.
With the excepton of Steph they can play team ball. And this man made them soo miserable.
SAD. SAD. SAD.

I've never seen so much pants-crapping over a couple of losses.

The Knicks probably have a team around .500. Some nights they will look good, other nights they will look bad.

Lord-almighty! At least wait the first 10-15 percent of the season before you declare the season as lost!

Oohah, that's the problem. I agree we're about a .500 team. Problem is, we're a .500 team at our absolute BEST, with or without Randolph, and it's not gonna change, b/c we are composed of nothing but 1 way players, but of them being offensive. Until we start collecting 2 way players, or at least smarter 1 way offensive players, then we're always gonna be .500. We're only gonna look superior when everything is going 100% our way, and that rarely happens. We're always gonna have issues with people not trying hard enough. Therefore, I'm not a doomsday sayer, but I do say, we need to completely blow up this team, AGAIN.

I say we don't blow it up this season. I say we acquire Artest, hopefully trading Crawford or Robinson, and we Get Collins more time.

In theory, Artest is exactly what we need defensively and offensively. In practice, who knows?

Okay, you got me there.

It is about a couple of losses. Because when the Knicks just won 2 in a row, there was no pants-crapping.

If the Knicks win the next game, pants-crapping will cease. If they lose the game after that, pants-crapping re-commences!

It is not about a couple of losses. Certainly not for most of the "haters." Think about it. If you've seen it repeatedly before and it has remained essentially at a fever pitch for the past 1.5 years - it, by all accounts, is not about a couple of losses.

If you're referring to the lovers who suddenly jumped ship today, then its a different matter.

Regardless, Oohah, what level of Knick catastrophe will it take for you to crap your pants? (hopefully not after you've hung your ass out there)

Artest is a bad risk, especially with Randolph already on the team, and to top it off, he'll just make us a LITTLE better. OK, so you give him and Collins some burn together. Now what do you do with the piss poor defensive frontcourt and the other backcourt player who is bad on defense. Plus, Artrst literally can blowup any time, as can Randolf. Are we really trying to build a team around these guys? Just remember, assumption is the mother of all F' ups.

Agreed with everything.

This team is just dreadful. I wish they weren't, but it's like that one guy said - "We're just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic"

thanks man, really this season I have not said much about the refs if any at all in my postgame threads... I know we are not going to get many calls anyway, but honestly this game should not have been close, so the bad call stuff is just weak at this point. we just stink...

Actually, I think Artest makes us a lot better, scoring passing, and of course defense.

If he doesn't work out, then we are all set up for the blow-up, with his contract coming off the books soon, Marbury's is coming off the books soon, and we will have traded away some stuff for him too.

At least this team will be eminently blow-upable!
