so I guess nobody cares or is worried that he refused to take a DNA test and nobody will insure him.
Nobody that pretends to know anything about basketball will tell you that if Curry is healthy this is a bad trade. Its a coup. Its Jermaine Oneil for Dale Davis proportions bad (in favor of us). I like Sweetney and in the right situation will be a hell of a player. He's not Eddie Curry. Not even close.
I guess I'm having a hard time getting excited about a player that was just told by a renowned heart specialist that he should get more information before playing. Its not like Grant Hill or McDyess where the downside is a gimpy player making a ton of cash. The downside is watching a player we love and follow drop dead.
Maybe I am just more sensitive then most, I dont know. Am I just being a sissy? If so just tell me, I can take it! My god, am I a gay robot?
Right now the REAL upside is come hell or high water I wont ever have to see Tim Thomas in a Knick uni again.
I understand what you're saying Fish. I agree, but... maybe Curry's heart condition is overblown. While one Bulls specialist said he should get more testing, two or three others said it was unnecessary. Was it that important to the Bulls or were they throwing up a smokescreen as an excuse to get rid of a player who had been classified as lazy and a discontent with their system and was demanding a very high salary.
I don't really know; all I can tell is that Curry and his agent wanted Curry out of Chicago bad, for one reason or another. I do believe Paxson had Curry's best interests at heart, but I also feel like Curry, the Knicks, his agent, and his family should hopefully be wise enough to make sure Eddy can play before sacrificing anything. It's very possible that Curry had the DNA test at one point or another and already knows the results, but, on principle, doesn't want the results of a DNA test going to the Bulls. Sounds strange, but maybe there's another reason other than his heart? Nobody will know the answer. I'm going to go into this, assuming he's fine... you don't go and pay him $10mm+ a year if you're not sure. So, hopefully the Knicks made a smart buy.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
