for everyone saying Lee is able to replace JYD, Lee is a rookie and might not get it

Rose is a freagin midget and his rings don't mean anything except that he was playing alongside Tim Duncan.

I'm betting JYD ends up in miami!

oh hell, I would take lee anyday of the week over JYD, for christ sakes, how is it that Lee might not get it? what won'the get? what has JYD gotten? what are you talking about?

OH forget it!!

I will man up and read more. We do get money back, half of it. So we will still lose $750k not the $1.5mm I orginally thought. So a logistical error cost them $750k.

I guess thats not idiotic on an NBA scale, just not very good.

I don't think anyone thinks we're getting Elton Brand. You keep using that example but its clear as day the Clippers are trying to contend this year. Mark my words, there will be a very good PF/C available at the trade deadline this year because there is one available EVERY YEAR at the deadline. Maybe it will be Pau Gasol, going back to that rumor from about a month ago but make no mistake about it, there will be someone available and the Knicks will be the team most loaded with the contracts and young talent to get it done.

if you dont trade for Mo T and just release Moochie and Baker this summer the Knicks would save the $9mm they owe skinny Mo next year

Fish, gimme a break. If Isiah amnesties Shamdon and THEN waives JYD, there'd be even more of an outrage. "We got rid of JYD for nothing! That's so stupid!"

Not saying this board is a bunch of malcontents, but lol, you guys sure are looking for something to complain about. All. The. Time. The overreaction to this waiver is just the latest example. You'd think we just traded Ewing for Weatherspoon or something. Folks, it ain't that big of a deal, and it's not obvious that any other waivers would have been clearly better. Get over it, enjoy this nice summer day.

exactly... good post..

It all goes back to the Mo T trade. If Isiah doesn't make that moronic trade then they have the roster spot that they need to keep JYD and amnesty Shandon.

You're so far up Isiah's behind I can't tell if that's your nose or Isiah's duodenum.

looks like all of us have our panties in a bunch. usually happens to some when a knicks transaction happens, and for the others, well they're just cross dressers.

Stats don't tell the story when comparing JYD and Taylor.

Taylor is a lazy out of shape no defense dog. JYD is an energy player who provides a spark of the bench. Taylor type players destroy teams, JYD type players make them.

Taylor only contributes on offense where we already have plenty, and if swill post anybody it should be Sweetney first, Q second, and JJ thrid. JYD was our only defensive stopper.

come on man, don't buy into this media BS, what makes taylor lazy? because some fool on espn or TNT said so? because JVG had him in his doghouse? like he did camby when he was in ny? When I saw taylor play for the knicks in 2004/2005, I saw a guy who hustled, played hard, took a few too many shots, but he tried, he rebounded and tried to defend, to say he is lazy with the knicks is not true, just more media perpetuated BS... Sometimes it just comes down to keeping the better player, taylor is 5 years younger than JYD, and he is a better player.. Period..

good post. now Rose on the other hand????

WRONG.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm

Who should be checking their facts?
Posted by simrud:

The last year of his deal is a year before Taylor's, check your facts before you post. The last year on his contract is a team option, we have been over this like a billion times already.

LOL

LOL.. good catch, but I knew that, didn't even bother to correct him because the point is that JYD is not moveable, not at all, and the fact that his deal didn't expire this year made him even less moveable. I found it funny that he said, JYD was moveable..LOL.. for what?????!!!

I'm manning up baby...I've watched mo play for more than a year.

I love his low post game. and let's not forget his youth, isn't he half JYD's age?
Posted by simrud:

He say if anybody mansup, then they also have to manup for the Mo Taylor trade otherwise its unfair, I'v been askign people to manup for liking that trade for a while now, and I'm havin little sucess.

First off, he's 32. Second off, he averaged 21 points a game on that bad knee in Sacramento last year and then went to the team that has the human blackhole on it and struggled. People keep wondering why players can't play with Allen Iverson... it's becuase he takes EVERY SINGLE SHOT. Webber had a fine year last year with Sacramento and if he were on the Knicks, we'd be in a much better situation then we are right now. Like it or not, Chris Webber is still a very good player.

The money we get back depends on the new contract JYD signs. If someone signs him to a decent deal it's conceivable that we save more money than if we waived Shamdon.

I'll manup. I liked what I saw from Mo Taylor last year on the Knicks and I was one of the VERY FEW people who manned up when the trade was first processed. Mo T can score in the post, that is for damn sure and I haven't seen anything to detract from the good things I've seen from him. Yeah he has a bad contract but it's not his fault he was paid like a superstar. He is what he is and thats a good low post scorer, I haven't seen the "lazy, uncaring" tag that he seems to be labeled with by people on this board.

There's no doubt that there's a market for JYD now that nobody has to pay him his contract, besides the Knicks. I'd bet that he's scooped up by a contender real quick. Contenders are always looking for athletic guys who hustle, plays defense and is a team player.

yea, I heard the same roar when the heat signed Shandon Anderson, and we see how he propelled the heat to new heights.... JYD is really a non factor, he is not the same player he was when he first got to toronto. He is a great guy, good in the community and good at waving towels and Barking, but other than that, his effectiveness as a hustle player has even diminished a lot. I don't even think the heat will touch him..

half the age and twice the size. The guy doesnt rebound, cant pass and doesnt guard. Forget Mo T.. he's awesome, despite the fact that the best think Isiah could say was how valueable his contract would be in 2.5 years
