Literally days before Trump and Tillerson were fine with Assad staying in power despite gassing and barrel bombing his people. There was video of all of this too. So why was this recent attack so different that suddenly a limited strike was the response this time as opposed to the days before it wasn't necessary to bomb Assad?

Furthermore Trump's entire policy is unclear. The day before it was basically status quo. What is the policy now if Assad only machine guns or barrel bombs children???

All about the photo optics, I suppose, and the fact that Trump's rating is so low.

Kill 50 with regular artillery...kill 25 with a chemical attack, and the second obviously gets the response...and the forget about refugees.

A lot of hypocrisy...no doubt about it.

Its OK. This how human mind works.
It believes only in what he likes to believe not in what really happening.
Be in your matrix and you will be happy.
And others will be in theirs.

Right..Because you aren't in a bubble and know what's really happening..

I think ABC might have had the original report about Syrians moving people and materials out of the area where the attack took place BEFORE it happened.

Nance is a former spook who will have his own sources in Intel. People take him seriously.

It was reported that the Russians were notified...not easy to think that they talked to their Syrian allies.

If you just the destroyed runways of an airport that is not their major airport and not stores of chemicals or Syrian jets, you have not done much...

...but it does distract from all the other shyte Trump is facing right now.

Trump did a complete 180 from his Administration stance 3 days prior based on comments from Nikki Haley and Rex Tillerson...Assad had been doing the same thing the last 6 years and even while Trump was in office..Are we now to believe Trump is suddenly moved??..Ok...I found it strange that the CNN correspondent in Russia, saying this changed everything in terms of relationship with US/Russia..I mean, how would he know so early in the game???..Who is telling him that..Seems like it was the "news" that needed to get out...

This was an easy way to distract and predictable...I just don't see policy changing 180 degrees in a matter of days...

He might not have done this if his ratings were at 60%.

The hypocrisy from the GOP and some of their TV analysts is also amazing. The GOP spoke out strongly when Obama asked them for authorization to use force in 2013...now it is fine...here is one of the hypocrites...

Trump himself spoke out against it back then...and in the same situation.

Very frustrating to watch.

It's not frustrating to me, it predictable...Let's see what a thought out strategy looks like...I don't think we see it from this crew...This won't change the narrative about Russia and collusion...Putin is a strategist, you have to admit...

Putin is usually a step ahead.

You just hope that the Russian investigations are continued properly and not ratcheted down because of a Syrian diversion.

Bush 2.0 exploited 9/11 to put us into Iraq...this type of thing is always an opening for a President.

Hell...just give everything they were doing to Kushner...probably what Trump would do if he could.

GOP treatment of the way Trump is doing things has raised the bar for criticizing future Democratic Presidents...Unless the present GOP Congress is completely voted out, some of their holier than though types will have to shut up if they feel a Dem. Prez is doing this or that improperly. They have basically given up the right to criticize any future Democratic President unless that person is caught with a bloody knife standing over the dead body of a 10 year old victim.

One of the biggest grifts in the history of grifters...I have a visceral dislike for all 3 of them.

Hey, does anyone know when Trump is releasing that evidence that Obama spied on him with wiretaps and microwaves? Hate to think he'd successfully distracted everyone from it!

As if that would stop them. Did you see all the GOP senators breathlessly blaming senate democrats for opposing Gorsuch as if they were doing something unprecedented? This after McConnell et al refused to do their duty with Merrill Garland, not even giving him a g-damned hearing and denying Obama his constitutional right to pick a Supreme Court justice as the sitting president (while at the same time blatantly not doing their duty to advise and consent?). They invented some precedent that presidents don't get to pick Supreme Court justices in a presidents final year in office. In fact, the last time a republican controlled senate confirmed a democratic presidents Supreme Court nominee was 1898! And they claim the democrats were unprecedented in their obstruction! After McConnell et al obstructed Obama at every single turn. The GOPs hypocrisy knows no bounds. They will excoriate the next democrat president as if everything that's happened were just an alternate reality.

Just like how all of a sudden legislation doesn't have to be paid for with spending cuts, the deficit no longer matters, striking Syria doesn't need congressional approval, and on and on. They have absolutely no shame at all.

I would be really impressed if he actually follows through with this considering Goldman Sachs role in the crash. Derivatives need to be regulated as well, but this could get the ball rolling. Hope its legit.

Despite efforts by President Donald Trump and White House National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn to derail the landmark 2010 regulatory law that sought to correct the behavior leading to the 2008 financial crisis, both men might find common ground with advocates of financial industry oversight when it comes to a much older law known as the Glass-Steagall Act.

Passed during the early days of President Franklin Roosevelt’s first term in 1933 and known at the time as the Banking Act, the law separated commercial banking, such as checking accounts and consumer loans, from investment activities, like securities dealing. Pundits and politicians often employ a simpler phrase to sum up the measure’s objective: “Break up the banks.” The 1999 Graham-Leach-Bliley Act partially repealed the 1933 law, rendering it ineffective. Consequently, many have labeled the 1999 repeal a main reason for the financial debacle that would unfold less than a decade later.

This wasn't even the first chemical attack since he's been president so this sudden shift to being a Hawk is BS! Nothing was achieved by this except to further complicate things. What does he do now???
