Yeah I don't get the Keels pick either but when you get any 2nd rounder to at least become potential bench rotation pieces, that's gold.

Knicks have, yet again, an interesting path forward for themselves. I do see Rose sticking around until at least the trade deadline - IQ just not 100% ready to command the backup PG spot but could quickly get there. Obviously same with McBride.

I can see a bench rotation of McBride, IQ, Rokas similar to that of Rose, IQ, Grimes this year (or Fournier).

As long as Rokas continues to develop, he is a plus asset IMO.

I don’t see any reason the Knicks will move on from Rose this year. They want to win and won’t throw in the towel. I see Jokubaitis and McBride both competing for Rose’s spot next year. I think next year Quickley has the 6th man role to himself, but there’s a window open for Rokas once Rose either retires or tries to grab a spot on a contender.

Is Rokas our 2 guard of the future? Can he slide into the spot next to JB and have Grimes as the reserve?

He’s 6’4 but he’s definitely a natural PG. Best case is he’s an elite backup PG who compliments Quickley very well.

I think the Knicks did very well in last year's draft, particularly with this trade.

Just to see where the Thunder took the 32 pick and the value available at this slot - just keep an eye out for Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. He looks like a legit stretch 4/starter soon down the road (he started 36 games as a rookie, and the door is open for huge minutes with Chet out for the year).

We *never* would have picked him - he simply wouldn't have been on our radar with Randle/Obi/Knox/Noah/Taj/Mitch in our big man mix at the time.

If anything, we might have drafted either Deuce - and Joku would probably have been picked up by San Antonio or Dallas somehow.
And we also ended up picking a pretty legit big man prospect in Sims out of last year's draft pool, giving us a beast of potential at big man.

Yup. After Grimes I think the Knicks had a list of probable 3-4 guys they liked in that range

I think Brock got one (Roku)/Thibs got one (Deuce)/and Walt went with his gut (Sims).

We know he can really shoot it. I see his game translating but he will have to adjust to the speed of the game from the lead guard position. I do feel like a long term pairing of Rokas and Quickley off the bench can work well.

The Rok showing out in a loss. But his timing on PnR is so good that he makes Jan Vesely look useful.

Thibs is keeping him down by playing Deuce. Rumor is World Wide Wes sabotaged his visa.

That’s your best case? He shoots like 60% from 3.

I see jokubaitis basically replacing Drose on the roster next year so we will go in with Brunson, quickley, Rokas and McBride.
