I'm glad we didn't get the guy. I preferred a two way player. We have learned our lesson with one dimensional players, especially offensive ones.

Rolo is playing great ball right now--its as simple as that. The material difference between Monroe and Lopez? Well our W-L might record might be better with Monroe--it couldnt be worse.

He isn't cutting it. Maybe he can do some nice things here and there but he isn't productive enough and produces at the rate of a 18min bench player. We need an upgrade at the starting center position. KP is going to have to basically become KG/Dirk/Gasol PF/C.

Dieng from the Wolves is now being underused since they have Towns and they want to space the floor with a stretch 4 rather then go big with Towns and Dieng.

We need to get him before Dallas Mavericks do what they do and make a trade for him. His skill set is perfect for the triangle.

I think our record would be far worse with Monroe.

Milwaukee's record is worse with Monroe. Record worse, OFF & DEF efficiencies are worse. Detroit: better, better, better.

They made a devastating trade getting rid of Knight--thats their sole reason why they went south. But they also have a better record than the Knicks.

Not sure how the Knicks' record has anything to do with Monroe or Milwaukee.

Not sure how you can say that getting rid of Knight was the sole reason why they went south either, Monroe was their premier free agent pickup.

I give Briggs credit.....He makes more predictions about players than anybody on this board. I don't give him credit with his back tracking comments. It's better to just own up to your mistakes and move on. Take notes from Hillary.....

I still don't love him since he doesn't bring it night in and night out. Still not in love with the signing though he has grown on me some. Still would love to have Deing. But he is ours for the foreseeable future and has looked better. As such I praised him when he contributed to us winning during a winning stretch right before Melo tripped over that ref.

better than a nothing-burger predictor though, right? Might as well let them all hang out and put balls on line

Every good forum needs a hype man.....Without them, this forum would be dull. I go to other boards all the time. The same topics are still there.....old and stale. Briggs keeps the topics poppin. Eventhough I might disagree with him 90% of the time, it's entertainment.....just ask Trump

If you dont own up to your bad calls and gloat about your good ones, incessantly, you arent putting jack **** on the line Martin. Ive made my share of calls, some bad ones, and I owned up to them. Big difference.

I think since they lost Knight they havent been the same. I think Robin Lopez has been the superior player by far 2nd half of the season--maybe playing his best basketball of career in certain games. In fact he should get more FGAs but I dont see how it has any real material difference between Monroe and Lopez in W-L or game impact. Lopez is the better player right now but it wont change the way a team either wins or losses--one guy avg 16-10 the other 12-8--neither guy is a great defender.

Please explain how this one team is #1 in the NBA in rim protection.

The Knicks get outscored in the paint on a daily basis--what are you talking about?

https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/opponent-points-in-paint-per-game Dont you have dudes who get paid a lot of money to make sure you dont say stupid things?

I think getting outscored in the paint is more of a factor of not being able to stop or deter penetration. The Knicks, unbelievably, are the best in the NBA for % against in terms of opponents shooting within 5 feet of rim as well as 20+ feet.
