But I predict he'll go more like Marbury 06-07 or something. He just isn't wired to do this. I think Phil has been playing mind games with him for a while now, basically since the off-season... trying to force Melo to ask for a trade. I think Melo will do so. I wish he would accept the challenge, but I don't know if he's that kind of player.
phil is really phucking with Melo's head ... this is what I wanted last season.
Papabear SaysIt seems to me the Phil got d*ck by Melo. Over 100 Million dollars. Melo is set for life.
it's not phil's money it's dolan's money. jackson is definitely outmaneuvering both dolan and melo. only recourse is to watch the drama unfold this season. my money is on melo asking for walking papers.
I'll take that bet!

I think Melo is in for a very nice surprise this season. This is he kind of team he usually has had success with. Lots of quality players around him. No one spectacular but they do their jobs at an acceptable level and the team makes sense construction wise. All the roles are covered and the disposition of the role players is about defense, rebounding and sharing the ball. That's a winning formula.
