Tyson
Amare
Melo
Shump
Felton

Why do we need a scoring SG when Melo does most his scoring deep outside on the perimeter?

SHhhhhh...... we have to do something, Melo is out there on a island. Kidd is fading, JR is up and down..... we have to get more from the shooting guard position.

I think I would make the trade after today, hopefully get the Laker pick this year.

I don't even continue the discussion unless I get one of Phoenix's first round picks in the upcoming draft.

BRIGGS wrote:Id love Reddick but hes not coming here for Shumpert. If Pho is that serious Dudley Oneal and a 1 in 2014.

That would put Anthony back at SF put a low post scorer in the strating line up and a more efficient double digit scorer at 2g

Line up

Tyson Chandler
Jermaine Oneal
Carmelo Anthony
Jared dudley
Ray felton

Amare
JR
Novak
Kidd

Again Id take reddick but hes not coming here for what we are offering(shumpert)

This is basically the team that started the season with Dudley for Brwer and Onel for Wallace--moving Kidd back to back up PG

O'Neal just complicates the trade- it just means we have to give up more players, and then find more replacements- he's not worth it at all.

This is on yahoo sports player notes regarding Dudley:

Dudley's name surfaced in some trade talks over the weekend, specifically in a potential deal to New York in exchange for Iman Shumpert, according to USA Today. That could have played a role in the Suns limiting Dudley's minutes, or it could have just been a byproduct of his shoddy play of late, as he's averaging 6.6 points on 38.7 percent shooting over his last five contests.

Some of the same fans talking defense and harping all over our three point shooting, then become the same fans looking to trade Shumpert for Dudley. Doesn't make sense to me. Thank the basketball god's our front office wants nothing to do with this offer.

Yeah this guy is going to become an absolute beast as a Knick(datrolling eyes)

So you judge a player based on their FGA?! And you judge them as a player based on their first 10 games back from a torn ACL?! An absolute joke- do you really believe that?

I've been keeping an eye on Rubio, as he came back a few weeks before Shumpert. Basically he looked terrible for his first 17 or 18 games, and has looked much better his last 5 or 6:

Dec: 5 games FG 23.8% 3PT 0% AST 4 TO's 2.4 PTS 4.2
Jan: 12 games FG 29.0% 3PT 10% AST 5.7 TO's 2.6 PTS 5.4
Feb: 6 games FG 42.6% 3PT 33.3% AST 9.0 TO's 2.5 PTS 12.8

So hopefully Shumpert will take a step forward by March

What is Reddicks trade value??? If the Suns are willing to give Dudley and a first for Shumpert, why couldn't we roll that into JJ Reddick???

Ive only watched like 3 Magic games this season so correct me if im wrong but how would Reddick even work here? From what ive seen, he works best running around a series of screens for his open shots and the Knicks rarely do any off ball screens or movement for that matter.

Open shots = open shots, doesn't matter why your open, that's how he'll work.

I'll be furious if Shump gets moved.

If a deal needs to be made, how bout one that brings some help to the frontline, since KT either cannot play or Woodson refuses to play him? It was amazing how many second chance shots the Clips got in the second half yesterday and it just drains the defensive units' energy (not that it was even there). Tyson needs some help already and relying on Camby and Sheed is foolish.

AND ENOUGH WITH THE SWITCHING. I thought that was a D'Antoni thing...

I think he has been overrated for years, not a fan of his at all, but I think a fair few GMs seem to value him.

Geez, we already have Chris Copeland sitting on the bench and Cope has proven, when given the playing time, that he can give us just as much—maybe even more—than Dudley can on offense. We need another oustide shooting tweener? I understand people want to improve, but Dudley for Shumpert isn't the answer, unless we're guaranteed a lottery pick. Even then, I'd still have to think about.

The only thing you can learn from that clip is how truly pathetic Novak is on D. If he moved his feet on D as fast as he does running down the opposite end of the floor after his man beats him, he might have something. What happened to those deflections he was getting early in the season?

Does Woody have a heads-up display of Novak's 'here to there' that pops over his retinas each time these 'defensive' highlights occur?

If we trade for Dudley, we have to get rid of Novak so Dudley can continue to shine at least whenever we play whoever Novak winds up with.

Again, Dudley for Novak would be a great trade. Please lets keep it at THAT!

What im asking though is how he'll even get open. This team recently has had little to no off ball movement and from what ive seen of Reddick (admittedly very little) he works best with movement.
