My point is that we've gotten good shots off quick and accurate ball movement and we've also seen some bad shots off ISO plays with no ball movement. Just cuz Melo takes a 3 doesn't count as an ISO play if it came after good ball movement and a catch and shoot.

Nix, you make some very good points and I agree, the Melo turnover, followed by Felts turnover produced 5 quick pts for the Hawks. With that said, our halfcourt defense has been pretty bad. Not sure why we are double teaming Josh Smith in the post. I counted two 3 pointers by the Hawks after we doubled Josh and he swung the ball. When did Josh become the second coming of Shaq that we need to double him in the post?

Our paint protection has been atrocious as well. Teague is playing like he's on skates out there and and the help is nowhere to be found. Jeff 'Freakin' Teague with 18 pts in the first half. Seriously!!!

I'm sorry maybe I just misunderstood you. I just think too often when Melo is making shots that some people aren't recognizing the difference between his good shots and his made but forced bad shots. When we were winning early this season we saw Melo take fewer bad shots and the team as a whole was taking a ton of good shots. PnR, Curls, ball and player movement and we had the most efficient offense. Lately we've seen that change to more selfish BB. Melo has to take the lead in this. He takes the most shots.
Kobe just had 2 games with 14 assists playing the kind of role MDA was asking Melo to do last year. It's about making your teammates better.

No you're right. I dont' disagree about the D being bad, but just wanted to also point to the poor offense leading to easy buckets.

This team has been really bad in terms of shutting down driving lanes and staying solid on D. I don't understand why they switch and not switch back immediately once they stop the ball. I also don't agree with the double of Josh SMith.
