I don't understand this kind of logic. He doesn't have a choice? It isn't necessarily true that Amare has nowhere to go but up... he can flatline and stay stagnant. There is no guarantee he'll definitely improve on defense.

I've actually seen a few games where he stayed with his man, throughout the game. A definite improvement.

unlike my initial analysis i think its going to take only 2 weeks for shumpert to get back to his play from last year. he's doing very well already.

yep a lot more intensity and effort and will only get better as he learns where to be at all times

Shump is really looking good. Very active. You can tell he worked hard during rehab.
