Thats my point, there 2-8 in there last 10 for a reason..no one stepped up when lopez was out, no one stepped up when wallace was out. you haven't heard of any bright spots coming off there bench, maybe evans..

If your saying they need a few winner vets to get over the hump i can see that. Wallace didn't bring his typical game but normally he out works and out hustles everybody else on the court. Hump also plays very hard.

35 ppg over 3 games against them.
If this is a rivalry, Melo's owning it.

SMH, Melo being selfish, NewYork is big enough to share!!!

Got off work late tonight, just got done watching on DVR (as if it were live). Very amped moving forward. Just enjoyed a really good team win along with lots of strong individual performances. We ended up working these guys by the score of 48-38 during the second half.

Chris Copeland is the truth on the offensive end of the floor. The 28 year old rookie can score the rock. 3/4 from the field for 8 points (2/2 from beyond the arc). Cope has a smooth shot. J.R Smith came up big with 19 points off 7/11 shooting. Stayed within the flow of the offense while also putting up 5 boards, 3 assists, 1 block and only 1 turnover. Played his ass off tonight. And Tyson Chandler? Damn did this man feast down low tonight. Physically destroyed Lopez regardless of Brook's final stat line. Tyson went off for 16 points, 12 boards (including 5 or 6 tip-out's), 3 blocks, 2 assists, 1 steal and went nuts off of finishes at the rim. Both Felton and Kidd struggled shooting from the field (6/24), but both Felton and Kidd were huge during tonight's win. Felton/Kidd combined for 15 points, 13 boards, 9 assists, 4 steals and only two turnovers. Basketball goes beyond shooting percentages and both Felton and Kidd showed up to compete.

Last but not least, Carmelo Anthony stole the show. Nothing short of a scoring phenom. 31 points during only 36 minutes of play off a very impressive 12/22 shooting. His ankle was in pain, but yet Melo was still able to murder Brooklyn for 31 points, 3 boards, 2 steals, 1 assist, 1 block and only 1 turnover. #7 is a remarkable ball player. Proud to say, that Melo's back. Returned from injury while playing like a league MVP. 2-2 without Melo but yet we're 17-4 with Melo starting. Simply amazing in regards to the (overall) impact that he's made (and makes) for our Knicks franchise come gametime.

As a team we also out rebounded Brooklyn (only by 1) and we won the turnover battle with 12 defensive turnovers created with only 7 turnovers committed. On pace to set an NBA record for fewest turnovers during a single season. 19-6 overall. Bring on the Bulls. 3-1 on our 6 game home stand thus far. Impressive to say the least.

Gotta pad his assist total somehow since he lacks pg vision and puts up too many shots

The Nets come to play hard against our Knicks but as I stated heading into tonight't game... These guys are the most overrated basketball team in all of basketball. Also, outside of their starting 5, their bench depth is very weak with the likes of Watson, Brooks, Evans, Blatche, Stackhouse, Bogans, Childress and Teletovic. They don't feature that 6th man of the year contender in J.R Smith. They don't feature a stand out shooter such as Steve Novak. Our very own Chris Copeland would instantly become their strongest scorer off the bench. Outside of Stackhouse, I don't see any true veteran leaders off their bench either. Just a very weak/thin overall bench.

On a side note, and I won't mention any names, but I just find it absolutely hilarious (more like down right pathetic) how the same exact posters who were posting (in numbers) after we lost to the Rockets without the likes of Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, Rasheed Wallace and Marcus Camby have now became the same exact posters who've hid under a rock after our win of the Nets with Melo's return. Quiet as a mouse. Silent as a lamb. More like crickets. It's an enjoyable feeling when our Knicks of 2012-2013 force these negative critics to shut (the bleep) up while watching them A.) Go into hiding mode in order to B.) Come out in a frenzy after a simple loss before C.) Returning to the rock they crawled out under during Knick victories moving forward.

Not to call anyone out, it's just that I've seen/noticed a very disturbing trend amonst certain posters since I've joined this Knicks fan base. They wait to harp all over certain players and/or the team while hiding under a rock waiting to do so. It's like they hate Knick wins and love to see our Knicks lose. Makes me wonder if they're really trolls of other teams in disguise. But yea, bring on Chicago. 19-6? Second strongest record behind only OKC who's on a 12 game winning streak? Simply amazing.

As a man in my late 30s, I love that Stackhouse is putting in work, I gotta say. Kidd too! 40 is the new 30, y'all! (Please be true.)

Nets beat writers very low key this time around. Not nearly as much cheering. Reality starting to set in. They are a beaten & fragile group

The Nets actually have very good depth. Watson is a very good backup PG. They have guards who can shoot it. IMO the issue is Deron, Johnson and Lopez!!! Those 3 guys are so overrated it's not even funny. They're supposed to be this big time back court and Lopez is such a scorer most of the time, but I think they don't really raise their level of play nor lift their teammates as much as they should for the level they're supposed to be as players.

The Knicks have more mentally tough players IMO. We still have STAT and Shump out of the mix and still the Nets aren't able to really match the Knicks intensity. It's not Wallace, Humphries or Evans. Deron, Joe and Lopez need to be the ones setting the tone.

I love when JJ is afraid to take big shots and passes it off to Wallace who is an erratic shooter

I was impressed with how the Knicks turned on the jets in the second half and put them away. They made it look almost effortless. I think we do a better job of sharing the ball even though they have one of the best PGs in the league.

Dwight screwed them. That's what you're seeing with BK. That's why they had to spend money on the likes of Overrated Joe.

Like I said before, 5th/6th seed at best. And how is MarShon Brooks not getting more playing time?

They were starting to get back to the defense we saw in the beginning of the season too. It was beautiful to see.

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I thought they took two assists away from Felton and called them missed shots that should have been assists to Chandler.

BroPez gives Knicks fits but he was not his normal self last night. Dude is always hurt. Makes Amare look like Cal Ripken.

I really enjoyed Van Gundy last night. Old salty called a great game. Really talked about the players and what was going on. Knicks played great defense and can win when the 3s arent raining down just fine.

Nets are just another team, I think its pretty clear now. I would LOVE a first round against them in maybe a 2-7 game, something like that.
