There is nothing wrong in governments haven the power. The issue is to use this power for the good of the people.

Well, at least it is healthy to ask questions (something we always should do), especially when your government is having a few illegal wars and when corruption is so rampant at all levels of government.

There are a few points I can think of that I heard on a radio show that do warrant further investigation regarding this shooting:

1- An ex soldier called in and mentioned he was 150lbs and in shape - a very strong guy. He said he has body armor, guns, 100's of rounds, etc (all the things the shooter had) and he said the one thing he couldn't understand is that he didn't see how the shooter (a 20 year old, thin kid.) could carry around all that stuff when he himself tried and couldn't. Now, I'm not sure about the weight of all this stuff, but I thought it was a pretty fair point to discuss.

2- How does a guy wearing all the above, get buzzed into a school? It wasn't an open building.

3- There were early reports of another shooter. There was even a man seen being taken out in handcuffs. I'd like more information on these early reports. e.g., 2 min video of witness and comments

4- This is being made into a gun issue solely and the bigger issue of the mental health aspects as well as anti-depressant drugs involved (in past shootings as well) is being largely ignored.

Basically, we are being given a basic story with no further information coming out. And at the same time, the trauma of the event, which affects anyone with children to an extent that is unimaginable for those without children, is shown over and over again on TV. Here in Germany they do not give attention to events like this on television - it removes most of the threat from copy cat killers as well as the trauma effect. In American, they won't show the person who runs out onto a baseball field during a game, but they will repeat a massacre of children again and again? My question is what agenda does this serve and to whom?

4) REALLY agree. Gun laws can and should be reformed, but they arent going away (guns). If the guns were not present and someone wanted to do horrific damage you could run people over with your car, etc. The reason guns are used first and foremost is they are weapons. Killing and maiming is the only function a gun has. Anyone who has ever shot understands the feeling of power associated with shooting. Thats why so many people love it. There's a reason archery isnt the pasttime that shooting is.
