Oh, its the 76ers loss, the one where nobody on the team (except Amare) could find the hoop. Of course, ppl want accountability. Trading Melo is the logical conclusion

Melo hasn't found the hoop in like 5 games,

48 out of 129

The man is getting killed , murdered and all sorts of hacked when he takes it inside and refs look the other way. FG % is only a good stat for pure shooters ,like Novak. Anyone who constantly posts up and drives to the hoop - you have to include free throws. Even that doesn't tell the whole story on nights where Melo is getting hammered. Joey Crawford and Dick Bavetta cannot ref every game for us. The lesser refs just fold under pressure when they have to make a call, which is about every other time with Melo.

So that means you trade him?

It's pretty sad, isn't it? I'd love to know what wonderful players these people would get on our team- magical players who shoot well EVERY game, who never lose ANY games, never struggle, and always get the balance right between being too selfish and being too passive. These players of wonder are some how available every season, are superb at defense as well as offense and rebounding and assists- heck they average a triple double. They are never injured and are 100% clutch. Their teams win 100% of games. They never lose their cool or express any form of emotion, and instantly play at their best even when they haven't played for months.

Seriously man its ridiculous. I'd like to see their list of players that meet that criteria too.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

there is no perfect player, but there are more professional and better players.. Honestly I would move carmelo and JR for picks and cap space and then bring in guys that can get it done as a team.. I would still run the offense around amare, but keep to the original plan before the trade.. there are good players out there that play with poise, integrity and unselfish.... why should we start listing names, all you guys are going to do is say. carmelo is better than this guy or that guy.. really, it is a circular discussion at times.... the best thing for me would be to move this clown and build this team the non starphuch way..... unless we are starphuching lebron!

all good until you start running the offense entirely through Amare again and he reinjures his back or knees

amare got injured in practice.... so why worry about that.....you can't go careful... if you are going to get hurt, it is going to happen if you are the focal point or coming off the bench... and I don't mean run it entirely through him, but make the offense more pick and roll oriented....

I rather Melo just live by his word and play unselfishly. If he ever got it after 10yrs in the league we would be a very good title contender this year the way the team is currently built. It all rides on Melo

He is so good. Draws so much attention he can make others great. Maybe Average 20 not 29

what was the plan from walsh before the trade? im not a fan of amare or many of the incarnations of the old teams a few seem to miss (crawford/randolph, gallo/amare/chandler, etc). none of those teams were going anywhere without more moves. considering many of the guys traded to get carmelo were due for extensions real soon, what would have happened? would they have had to tie up chandler/gallo/felton? would dantoni get an extension?

speculation since those things did not happen, however, most of it seems like same old story of nba purgatory for the knicks.

guns, not so sure it is just on melo to play unselfishly, although that would help... I just think this team may be a bit too old and not talented enough to win a title....

it's not ok, it is hurting his team.. but pierce is aging.. he is not playing bad because of bad choices on the court.. but yes he has a ring, stared down kobe and beat him in the finals.. winning does buy you a little rope....

Yeah it does but I'd trade him too if he had trade value at the level that Melo does right now.

The lesser refs just fold under pressure when they have to make a call, which is about every other time with Melo.

maybe he should get rid of the flak jacket/body armor he wears and he'd gain more sympathy and have to be more crafty.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Agree. Also, I am glad that instead of hanging back to argue the call he just doesn't fix his head band after he is wacked in the head repeatedly.

It's more Barry Bids type mixed with Roman Centurion armor. All his little accessorizing and color coordinating with his apparel is so Junior Varsity in nature. Looks a complete clown of a buffoon

So he puts on all that crap on to brace up for "bully ball" and then we he goes body to body without foul calls and what not he's looking for smypathy from refs as are all his minions of lobbyist

Yes, let's trade Melo and Amare and Tyson. For whom, do you say?
Why for younger players, players with potenshull! Players who play the right way! Players like....Gallo! Lin! Wilson! Moz!
Maybe this is our chance to undo the past! To right the Wrong Trade of the DECADE!!! Maybe get us some draft picks in the bargain! Yes, that's it!

Yes, of course we're at the top of our division and battling the Hate for the top of the conference, but hey! We're not 8-1 anymore! It's all going to be for nothing! I can't enjoy watching Knix basketball without knowing that at some point, I'm going to be able to dress up and go yell and scream on draft night for something meaningful! I won't be able to sleep well at night unless I'm able to post all day displaying my prowess with cap space and contract law and how to make the most out of every scrap of MLE! How will I be able to impress my friends with my GM wannabe expertise with a team constructed like this???!??

1) Melo's a fat chucker. His offensive game is just so two decades ago. And to top it off, he's got NO GAWWDAM FASHION SENSE!
2) Melo makes no one better. No one. Not his wife, his family members. Hell, even his entourage gets nothing from being around him.
3) Melo is not Kobe. Melo is not Lebron. Melo is not Durant. Hey, Melo's not even Hasheem Thabeet!

It's time to move Melo! Sign the petition and force martin and andrew to close this site down and finally open up the new, correct, realistic somber era:

ULTIMATEFRONTRUNNERS.COM

Hopefully, we can get the intern to change the new home page to run tweet updates from the Rockets, Pacers, and Nuggets!
