Lakers had a 13-point lead with 8 minutes left at home. VERY costly loss for them here.

It would be crazy not to. Briggs started a thread on this exact trade a few days ago.

They both look like they lost there 15 footer. If the Lakers want Amar'e trade him but I wouldn't take Gasol. Although, I guess we could give him more touches with his back to the basket. Who knows.

They both have limitations but Gasol has played at a *much* higher level than Amare has over the past 14 months.

Maybe but he has really bad low moments and doesn't rebound at times like he should. I am curious though how twin towers would work in the east and he is used to playing with a wing that posts.

It is a no brainer if we could acquire Pau Gasol for Amare.
He has outplayed Amare the past 2 seasons, in EVERY aspect of the game, while having a much more kills and overall games.
To go with that, Pau can play the center position, while not being undersized.
His ability to pass the ball, set good screens, and hit the wide open 17 footer, would compliment the team much better.

Like KG, Pau at this age, is much more suited playing the Center position, he can play PF, vs most teams.
Only teams when they go small, like OKC with Durant and the Heat with Lebron, at the PF, would be a problem for him, Rudy Gay at Memphis if Tyson Chandler is playing with Pau.
They both would be very slow, but they do form a nice twin towers together, while improving our defense, with the subtraction of Amare alone.
I think it would be a great luxury to have Pau and Tyson Chandler both playing the center positions, depending on what we need, the match up, and who is up to finish games.
Adding a player like Kenyon Martin, Mahimi, or Brandon Wright with good athleticism, have the ability to hit the 17 footer, are good defenders, and good defense could help a lot.
They are great hustle players, with good athleticism and length.

I like the new CBA, limiting the MLE and years, because it makes players WORK for their checks, and worrying about their next contract.
It prevents players like Jerome James, performing for 1 contract year, while just sitting on the bench, and earning a nice contract after.

Offering more 2-3 year deals vs max 6 year MLE ,with less years and less $, gives players more incentives to perform/develop, keeps players in check, and makes them earn contracts.

Exactly. Both. The more I think about it I wouldn't mind the trade because he would be used properly in NY. In LA he is the main PnR big and Bynum posts. In NY he would post and Chandler would set the picks. This may be a fair trade.

Lebron and Wade went to Superhero level in order to pull out a win, but it still was lucky cuz if Indy had made more of their earlier easy buckets, they would've run them out of the building. Man I still don't like the Heat team even tho they managed to replace Bosh's open jumpers with Haslem. That was the missing piece and i'm surprised they didn't try to use Haslem more earlier. Lebron and Wade had to basically score every basket just to get this win.

I didn't like Indy's reaction defensively. They seemed to lose focus on Lebron and Wade for a long stretch. you've gotta deny any pass to Wade right under the basket and the same with Lebron, but the Pacers were actually just standing around watching rather than play them like a post threat with fronting and ball denial.

Call me the heel of the message boards but I am glad Heat beat Pacers today!

Pacers shows little bit too much teeth smiles way before final horn of game was sounded
Reckon the c-ocky Indy & their arrogant star Danny Granger got just what they deserved

If Granger game/points can match his big stinkin mouth & bullying ways then Pacers coulda been up 3-1 in series instea

I'll pass on the Miami time share!
I Wont of course ever root for HEAT in NBA EAST conf. final, nor will I toot their horn in NBA final if
Heat get that far !

I realized plain and simple on game in INDY, I hate PACERs a teeny bit touch-drop more than the HEAT
Let me re-phrase & correct I hate PACERs & Danny Grainger a little bit more than Miami Heat in this series!
yep sums it up!

My oh my The Oklahoma City Thunder have become Quite a Coc_ky full of themselves team!

They are as full of themselves as the Pacers and Heat

LETs GO SPURs or LAKERs or CELTICs

Bunch of kids feel they'll always be entitled to a NBA Title Championship with bravado
boasts of Chest out thumps & fist flying pumping.

They've all not paid a squat of dues in this NBA.

Let em' all sweat it out and earn it, I am not impressed by this play!

If you're OKC and you're so GREAT , with nice fan base but So much a favored team &
you gotta struggle to beat the LA Lakers maybe you dont deserve to win this yr., this time.

Same crap for the Clippers whom got a Lesson for the eventual champion San Antoni Spurs

Sixers got their lesson tonight!

Perhaps I'm a slightly disgruntled Knick fan whom my/our team been nearly 40 yrs and counting since last NY NBA championship.

NewYork is a Town where regardless of MLB, NHL, NFL or NBA when you win YOU've earned it fair & square.

OKC I use to like em' and Russell Westbrook,
Now I want them to lose to SPURs & go home. Want them to feel the pain!

OKC/Spurs should be a fun West Finals.

Too bad very few will care.

Interesting to see what happens to the Lakers now. That window is almost shut.

Poor Mitch.
