take a chill pill man

Clean, you're an idiot.

No he's trying to help you We've got Melo and JR coming! It's not like we're stuck in this situation for the rest of the year.

I agree. Also, it was one game. This is a funky season and the Knicks are evolving as a team. I wouldn't read too much into this. The Knicks need to have less turnovers and shoot less threes or shoot a better precentage from there.

You are insane. Add Melo and JR to the team in the fourth quarter and we come back from a blow out to blow them out.

Might be a whole lotta truth to that. I really hope JR keeps his 'tude in check. We need some Tyson influence up in there with a healthy dose of Stat and even some smooth Lin flow. Dudes gotta keep the team first concept rolling, because anything else will come up short.

Lin had an off game. And let's face it, NOLA played damn well, tight D, some great passing, Ariza out of his mind, and it all adds up.

Knicks got no stops when they should've.

And again, they relied on the 3 too much.

Dantoni basketball isn't winning basketball.

The Knicks turned the ball over 21 times and had their opportunities. We just won 7 out of 8 games. We can't win them all. Disappoiting for sure but at the end of the day it's not the coach's fault if players miss open looks and make dumb passes.

This loss tells me they were more focused on Dallas rather than New Orleans.

We're exciting, but not good yet.

Poor preparation from the head coach.

I am quick to put the blame on the coach and have been acused of having an agenda but I think this just needs to be looked at as one game. The Knicks had won 7 games and at some point they are going to falter. Tney needed to have less turnovers and shoot less threes or make more. I do think if you scout the Knicks you know how to defend them because their game to game approach is the same on offense.

NOLA had a great game plan and stuck to it. They played a hybrid zone and just packed the lane to take away Lin's penetrations. The 8 turnovers in the 1st half was due to forcing the issue in the lane. They made adjustments at the half and Lin started taking what was given to him which was the 15 footer. We lost this game because of the following.

1. NOLA zone defense and packing the paint.
2. Knicks not hitting open shots from the perimeter.
3. FTs. We were 19-29. Ouch.

We needed zone busters tonight.

We knew the streak was going to end. Time to start a new one this sunday.

Off game.. Missed too many free throws, too many turnovers, and the Hornets just made some silly shots. Moving on

Only thing to be slightly alarmed about is how much Stoudemire cant jump.. Maybe it was the extra time away but he kinda struggles in the paint nowadays..

I am a little worried about that as well, but my biggest worry is that the refs is letting other teams hit Lin and no fouls are called. Clyde and Bernard mentioned this and Clyde said Lin has to get used to it. MDA has to do a Phil Jackson and start complaining about the refs on his interviews.

Entire teams are looking to stop Lin and are collapsing on his penetration and slapping at the ball. That can change when we can hit shots and create shots outside of his PnR penetration. He's just starting out and has a LOT to learn, so this is all part of the learning experience. Thing is is guys hit some of those open shots we win this game!!! Guys were WIDE open.

Carmelo Anthony can come back now! The 1st Lin-era lost won't be on MELO

Thats a good point Silver said the same thing. That first lost under Melo would've been brutal even if it is against Dallas. The media and some fans would've ran with it like there's no tomorrow.

This is a game we needed to win. Our schedule will get tougher can't afford to lose games like this one. TOs - FTs killed us. Perimeter shooting was non existent and STAT just sucks on defense.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

The Knicks are a losing team at the moment, and have been a losing team all season.

Someone give me a reason to keep Dantoni around.

Agree 100% and it was to one of the worst teams so a loss to Dallas wouldn't seem that bad.

Hopefully Mark Linchez doesn't show up again on Sunday...

Landry didn't play that smart and Novak missed wide open shots. My theory; this JR Smith acquisition got to their heads cuz he might eat into their minutes. oh and the turnovers didn't help.
