He's a bulky guy who will help us with interior defense, more-so than toothpick Jeffries and Turiaf's skinny legs.

Well the only way I look at it is that we held the Pacers to 13 4th qtr points!!!!! How can you question what Mike did when the team had a great defensive qtr to close out the game with Jared and Turiaf playing? This is why we disagree so much. Your judgement is getting clouded by your dislike of D'Antoni!

Right...I choose to look at things the clear way, the right way, not through perpetual rose-colored glasses. You will always look at it your own way and not in reality. You did the same thing for Isiah and everyone else and that will never end. My judgment isn't clouded at all. I dislike him because he's not a good coach. The only reason you like him is because he is the coach of the New York Knicks. Isiah could be hired back as coach tomorrow and you would put a positive spin on it and praise his coaching. I'm not the one clouded by anything. If he suddenly changed his style and became a better defensive coach I would praise him till the end of time. But whatever, it is what it is. This is the guy we have. We are stuck with him till Dolan decides otherwise.

How ridiculous is your argument when the team holds the opponent to only 13 pts in the 4th and you're railing against the coach and his defense? The team has won 7 in a row and has looked pretty good doing it. We didn't get any bigger in the last 7 games, so something has changed defensively that has allowed this team to win games. To win games you have to get stops and even tho this team isn't the best at doing it, they've been able to get enough stops to win.

You honestly think that if we add a couple of defensive bigs to help solidify the defense that this team won't win big next year? Mike isn't going to be a detriment to winning. He won 62 with a mediocre defensive team. This team has the potential to be far better than any of his PHX teams on D, if we can upgrade the roster just a bit more.

Co-sign and Derrick Brown looked good to night aswell in his short run.

Knicks should look into dumping Turiafs 4 million next season and considering bring back Shelden and derrick to round out your 9-10 guys.

They're still their just chirping a lot lower now. They're waiting for the Knicks to lose the last 2 games or lose the 1st game in the playoffs before they start squawking.

I'm just annoyed that there isn't enough recognition of the fact that even undersized this team has been winning on the road and with some decent defense in addition to some timely offense. This is going to be a dangerous team in the playoffs no matter who we play.

fair point. the roster is far from a finished product. that should be considered.

I do think equal emphasis to offensive and defensive deatil alike would go a long way though

If Shelden keeps performing he will get more minutes... Pringles has shown he really needs to trust you in order to get playing time. I do think he's the best big outside of Amar'e the Knicks have. But he's familiar with Ronny and he's familiar with JJ2 and can put other players around them that best mask their weaknesses.

I wish Williams got more burn but he wasn't really getting PT during the losing streak.

MDA playing his bench and giving everyone a chance to get some playing time before the playoffs. 11 man rotation last night. 12 men played the game before. Everyone is stepping up to the challenge. It looks like great team chemistry.

I think at the start of the 4th the Knicks were rolling with TD, Carter, Walker, JJ, Shawne. Holy weak team. And they cut a 10 point lead to about 3 or 4.

I really like Anthony Carter and think he'll be big for the Knicks in the playoffs. Stick him on Rondo for 20 minutes a night.

don't know about that, I think Rondo blows past him with ease. TD may be better fit.

i actually really like the idea of matching up jeffries with rondo.

Jared Jeffries, the OG Rondo stopper, will probably get most time on him I bet.
I'd like to see a super big lineup of:
Billups
Melo
Shawne Williams
Stat
Jeffries

With Jeffries on rondo

if your perplexed watch closer. Sheldon Williams doesnt contest shots. He sort of guards one guy in the post and hangs out there. JJ gets fewer rebounds but he challenges shots and get his hands on the ball. Nobody on this team chanellenges as many shots as JJ. Thats why he gets time.

Shelden might be useful on Glen Big Baby Davis - he probably practiced against him a bunch in beantown.

Forgot about Jeffries ability to stop Rondo. That's an interesting wrinkle. Should be an interesting series with Boston.

Don't forget, the Knicks had an 11 point lead on them at MSG until the wheels fell off the offense in the final five minutes. Wheels are coming off the offense less now that the team is a little more comfortable playing together.

Should be a very interesting matchup.
