I agree.. Aside from some stupid crap, it didn't look too bad. Between this and last game, we've looked decent. It's the loses against the crap teams that are frustrating

I'm concerned, cuz our problems are deeper than just seeing some effort from the team. This team is LOST out there and have no chemistry whatsoever. Guys are back to training camp levels of execution.

We have no choice but to keep going and working to try and get CB going and develop some chemistry. All season STAT led the league in 4th qtr scoring. Now since the trade he can't get any good looks.

can't get any good looks? STAT shot 20 times tonight missed 14 of them if you're shooting that poorly then stop shooting the ball & let your other teammates take the shots, it's not gonna be there every night... there's gonna be games where Melo shoots like crap from the court too, in those games u would hope he'd have enough sense to defer more to his teammates too... & Landry Fields gotta step up his game too this makes back to back games against top competition that he's been a complete non factor.

My bad on the record since the trade. Unfortunately, its still 3 games under.

I've got a new one for the trade haters: the team we traded was a winner, this one is officially a loser.

Now, seriously, I dont know about you but unless an angel appears to this team and magically grow chemistry on them, Im not really looking forward to Knicks playoff basketball.

Body language was terrible down the stretch. Another loss or two and we will be in playing out the stretch territory. IMHO d'Antonio has lost the team. Yes we need a credible center.

there's a few reasons we are leading in the first half and collapse in the second half, as is the MO for this team the past few games, in my mind:

1) Lack of familiarity with one another. When the defense tightens up, this team doesn't know what to do yet and rushes shots or settles for bad outside shots.

2) Lack of depth - Amar'e and Melo seem to get tired/banged up as the game progresses, they have ZERO bench past Toney.

3) Lack of defense/rebouding - comes back to bite us in the second half on offensive rebounds, lost possessions, etc. yeah, we all know that. It might be number 1.

To be fair, knicks did look like crap, maybe worse than this at the start of the season before it "clicked"

The Knicks haven't looked terrible in their last 2 games. They just need to get it together in the 4th quarter. I still have faith that they'll turn this around and make a run.

What did MDA have to do with STAT and CB stinking up the joint? I mean when you say stuff it has to make sense. The team was trying to defend, but the offense is just not clicking on any level. We went from consistently scoring over 106 a game to not being able to reach 100.
I think some of that is other teams tightening up their d and getting ready for the playoffs. If you don't emphasize d in practice and evolve as a team it will get tougher for you to beat them with the offense you are trying to perfect. Teams that do work on d all year are going to improve and know how to play together and defend. The Knicks are just falling a part in the fourth quarter when their opponent tightens things up and play like it counts. The Knicks aren't responding and they have a lot of talent. Either they are blocking out what this coach says and he has lost the team or he isn't communicating what needs to be done effectively. I missed the post game. Was it about the offense and ball movement or not keeping another team under 100 points?

If we fail to make the playoffs, now a not so distant posibility, it will be a historic collapse that I highly doubt D'Antoni survives.

That's true..I remember feeling this bad in the beginning of the season right before they went on a run. It looked hopeless to begin the season then they just got it. Hopefully it happens again. We play'd Celtics and Magic great for 6 quarters. I think 4th quarter we need to have Melo bring up the ball and not billups or Douglas. More things open up when Melo has the ball..especially if he is willing to pass like he did today.

We'll 100% make the playoffs but you're right, if they collapse MDA is done.

How odd is it that the 2 players who have the best +/- for the Knicks - and I write the word "best" very loosely - are Turiaf at 0 and JJ at -2.

I think you may be right. Let's hope pray that scenario does not happen.

The might of their height? (Relatively speaking...)

prob cause neither played much in the 4th, but I wasn't paying attention too much. 20 min for Turiaf and 13 for JJ on the game.

I work out during games. Got the TV going and I sweat. At least I'm not completely wasting my time while watching games, but I do wanna poke my eyes out after watching Amare play.

Cash, they haven't looked bad in the first half, but they have been horrible in the second. Thats when you win the game. Yeah, the first half may bring hope, but our consistency in playing terrible when the game counts is pretty alarming.

Is it chemistry? At this poing I give rats about it. We need a win desperately. We won after the trade because of what, adrenaline for the trade? Then we need to get motivated somehow because we need wins desperately.

I am getting the feeling that Walsh isn't coming back. Vecesy and Hahn have both made ominous reference to this in their own way. I don't know where this leaves the franchise but if Walsh is gone they need to get rid of D'Antoni and let the new administration bring in their own coach. I don't think D'Antoni is the guy and I don't think he lasts long without Walsh protecting and defending him.
