Not thrilled they gave up Mosgoz, but the Knicks aren't done.

Azubuike, because of his insurance-paid contract, is an asset.

Mason Jr. can be released to free up another roster spot.

Knicks now look dangerous in the play-offs and NY will be a consider for the raft of player that will likely be bought out after the deadline.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Hamilton wind up here.

Knicks bench WILL be different, and I suspect better, in a week's time.

Our bench looks uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugly. Not ONE guy who you look at and say..damn that guy should be starting on another team.

Well the last week we had One very Questionable Starter in Mosgov and what one Decent Benchplayer in Chandler who by the way was really a starter with his minutes.

I honestly don't think Williams/Walker is significantly worse than Chandler/Gallo. Probably meaningful in five years. But today? nah, don't think the drop off is that significant

Weak bench, no doubt, but the better your starters the better the role players seem to perform.
MDA is pretty good getting better than expected performance out of many players (even if inconsistently so) but he's going to have to find some new favorites and get them going off.

In terms of defense, if we did end up Balkman, Brewer and Williams we did get the 3 best defensive players in the deal. Not that any of them will play, but those 3 guys are defense first.

That's all of it.

He get a guaranteed extra $10m+ next year. Chauncey Billups is plenty happy this evening.

Why did Billups agent request the buyout if traded to the nets?

Sorry we gave up Moz but happy that we now have some real firepower on this team. Lets hope this is spun as a win for Walsh.

because he'll retire before the team moves to Brooklyn

I also have read this somewhere before...Rip might slide nicely into a SG spot for a playoff run.

So much for not gutting the team. What a joke. I hope Anubis and Vmart are happy somewhere. I don't want to hear another complaint out of them

I hope that isn't the plan. He's done and the Knicks won't be able to try and sign a top PG when they become available

Again... I ask. Do we have this Summers draft pick? Whether we swap it or not.

I hope everyone realizes there is no third max guy. This is it. This is our team. whatever move we make from now on we will use whatever FEW assets we have left - like Billups expiring contract and young scrubs like Rautins, Walker, Shawne - to acquire some overpaid role player or two on long term contracts. None of our packages will get us a great player.

That's not true. Billups contract for next year is a 13 million team option. Highly doubtful the Knicks pick that up.
Billups expressed his desire to remain in Denver (his hometown), and after retiring to work in the Nuggets front office.
Chauncey Billups is plenty pissed this evening.

So we got a second guy - good. Now we can work on getting the role players, which in all intents and purposes is the right way to build a team. Set the foundation first THEN build the pieces from there.

We seemingly got rid of Eddy finally. Also good.

The price we paid - well, if the tweets and reports are true, is ALL Little Jimmy's doing. You knew something not optimal for us was going to happen when he gets involved.

Again, I say: LET DONNIE DO HIS JOB.

I mean if Detroit buys him out. KNicks won't be paying him anything more than the prorated minimum and not commitment beyond this year.

His only possible revenge a playoff series reminiscent of IT himself?
