ok Avery Johnson, you and the owner might have won me over if the knicks don't get it together
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

those guys seemed like they could be added as udfa's.

I agree that it's possible, but who knows. The second round, especially, is a crapshoot. I just think you guys have different goals than the Knicks management. If we don't get LeBron and Bosh, I think these picks are not very good. If we do, I think the picks make sense. These moves tell me that the Knicks are pretty confident, because they intentionally drafted role players, not high-ceiling projects.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Not to say I'm happy with the picks, but did you really think picks 38 and 39 could in anyway entice a FA?

We need a Center and PG and we take a SG and Forward. Sounds familiar to Douglas(SG) and Hill(PF).

What kind of great center are you expecting to get in the mid-second round?

This guy isnt going to do a dam thing in the NBA. Why do people insist on talking themselves into hyping garbage picks.

These guys will not sniff the court.

The picks have nothing to do with the FA pitch we make. It would be nice to say yeah we got this or that raw kid to help, but really that isn't the kind of thing that would make a Lebron come over. My problem with the picks is that I think these guys are low upside types. They're only gonna get but so good from where they are right now, which is currently at the bench help level. You'd like to think we could get a guy that had some real upside. In particular someone with C/PF size.

From ESPN

Fields was an All-Pac 10 small forward for Stanford, averaging 22 points and 8.8 rebounds in his senior season. He has a 39-inch vertical leap, the second-highest vertical measured by the Knicks in their workouts. Corey Fortson of Arkansas leapt one inch higher.

Always good to be super negative.

Anyway, on a team with four players under contract, where we're potentially in the situation of signing two max players, one veteran and then filling up with NBA minimum contracts, you think these two guys have zero chance of sniffing the court. OK.

Not a fan of Rautins....and I've watched a fair amount of Cuse games. I've never seen Fields play. Maybe AnubisADL can break down his game since he talks like he has seen him play a handfull of times.

I'm with ya, those would've been two fine picks....I would've went with a point (Warren or Collins) or a 6'6" skilled 2 (Landesberg) at 38 and then probably Jordan at 39...Would've been fine with Torrence & Jordan...I still can't believe what we just did..
