To be fair, tie game, Al hit a three and Nate made a nice feed to Lee for the layup to bring us to 102-97 in the first place lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

this loss, to me, is on our lack of a good, consistent pg.
honestly, i've about had it with nate, too. he made mistakes that i feel cost us the game. Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

I've had it with coach Danphoney !
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Yeah that was f'in stupid.
Again, down 2, we've seen it five other times, we go for 2, and get denied because it's some BS bum rush of the rim! SHOOT THE DAMN THREE. Insane...that the staple of our offense is ignored in game ending situations. You got to be kidding me. Gallo passes in Gallo gets ball right back Gallo nails a game winning 3. Is there a problem here!? No, let's let Duhon or Harrington bum rush the rim for a brick instead. Great idea. http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Maybe Nate was supposed to kick it back out to Gallo and even had another option open to him. The problem, obviously, is that Nate could not get free and we did not have another timeout. Harrington was too close to Gallinari when he got the ball to effectively pass it back to Gallo for an open 3, IMO- the spacing was simply not there. I would probably want it in Lee's hands anyway. Giving Nate the option to do something on his own, pass it back to Gallo, or get it to Lee for a shorter shot was probably how the play was set up, I would think. First thing I said to my son was" if that was kobe or lebron would they have called a charge?" Looking at it slowly jack moved into him and then reached in hitting him on the shoulder. But we are the Knicks and dont get calls like that. Someday MDA hasta take the fine and rip the refs in a post game.

IMO Lee was being physical with bosh and he didnt like it. Would bosh survive in NYC if he doesnt like being physical on offense and defense??

just a point about coaching...now i know none of you know jay triano...nor should you...but look at that last inbounds play that he ran for the bosh basket after the timeout.
lee was guarding bosh...they inbound the ball to hedo who's being guarded by chandler. bargs is in the corner with (i think harrington on him). they run a pick and roll between hedo and bosh, where lee switches up to hedo and chandler's on bosh. this is exactly the matchup triano wanted. hedo then gives it to bargs in the corner who then gives the entry pass to bosh in the post with chandler on him. at this point, bosh can attack and if the double comes, he has bargs, hedo, or jose with an open 3. simple play designed to get bosh the ball with a mismatch. d'antoni's inbound play at the end after the timeout featured harrington getting the ball 25 feet from the basket. you can say all you want about duhon or nate...but the guy that should be getting the ball there is someone that can handle and run a pick and roll. knicks may not have a great group of shooters but at least you could've gotten an open shot. this isn't to say triano is better than d'antoni...but out of timeout plays is something to keep an eye on. |

djsunyc wrote: That was not the primary play they were looking to execute- anyone looking at the video can see that. Gallinari was looking to pass it somewhere else, but nobody was free. It almost seemed that he did NOT want it to go to Harrington at any cost, because he continued to hold the ball, even after Harrington was cleanly free, and only passed it to him when he realized he was going to get hit with the 5 second count.
