Lee battled Bosh well. (I didn't care for his defense until late)

Hedo. I can't stand that guy.. (you always kill Hedo but he is good.

Raps bench did a good job.. (that is now their strong point)

Gallo had a good game. didn't see the ball late at all.. (good first half but become too passive the 2nd half)

chandler dissapeared. we really needed him. (yeah but injuries kept him in and out of the game. They should let him just heal)

where was jeffries? (hyper extended knees could be out longer)

Al is a physco!! A basketball dummy.. get this fool out of here.. (He's Big Al)

Gallo didn't want to pass the ball to him on that last play.. he had no choice.. at that point. I knew taht fool would force a shot.. (See above, he is Big Al)

tough loss... (no doubt)

Hey dantoni.. keep running your offense this way... at this rate, lee will be an allstar next year, although we will be 20 games under .500.. (too much Lee sometimes but... yeah sometimes too much Lee)

good stuff pharzone... LOL

i like the way the raptors play and i know you and finestrg were talking how antoine wright's D, i was watching him today, his D is great.. i think the raps might be able to surprise a few people this year. i think they gotta get a surefire scorer from the guard position though via trade if they want to be serious contenders in the east.

that's going to be tough to get. the future is demar...but all of that hinges on bosh re-signing. i think demar has a chance to be really really good. and if bosh stays, he and bargs are 25/24 and demar is 20. that's a good foundation for a long time.

the big rumor (by a supposed insider) was jose for caron and we would play him at the 2.

wow, jose for a caron is a god damn steal. Butler + Bosh + Bargs would be the killer b's and i think would contend for sure

it's in discussions but the sticking point is they are asking for amir johnson as well and colangelo will not part with him. he's only 22 and is a very serviceable backup big man.

"You open, shoot the damn ball unless I'm on the court than then just pass the damn rock to me!"

A problem with guys like Al and nate is that they think taking shots and scoring = being a good ball player... tonight I watched gallo do a simple thing.. he pump faked, drove past him man, then hit lee on the side for an open jumper... Simple things, yet huge when it comes to playing sucessful team ball...

Look at guys like garnett and duncan, and kobe.. they survey the floor, running plays all the way through. They are looking for angles, advantages, because they know they can score... Good players play the whole game, the complete game.. Al is just a chucker, nothing more, nothing less.. having guys like that play big roles on your team is just asking for trouble..

To be fair, tie game, Al hit a three and Nate made a nice feed to Lee for the layup to bring us to 102-97 in the first place

this loss, to me, is on our lack of a good, consistent pg.

honestly, i've about had it with nate, too.

he made mistakes that i feel cost us the game.

I've had it with coach Danphoney !

If the play wasn't to give the ball back to gallup after he passed the ball in, why was he taking the ball out in the 1st place as the teams best 3 pt shooter ????

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Yeah that was f'in stupid.

Again, down 2, we've seen it five other times, we go for 2, and get denied because it's some BS bum rush of the rim!

SHOOT THE DAMN THREE.

Insane...that the staple of our offense is ignored in game ending situations. You got to be kidding me.

Gallo passes in Gallo gets ball right back Gallo nails a game winning 3.

Is there a problem here!?

No, let's let Duhon or Harrington bum rush the rim for a brick instead. Great idea.

he kind of is an all star no? and i think he does this to the majority of teams he plays against.

next year we have someone who can help us win these 2-6 point margin type of games..

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

I didn't see the post-game interview. Was there any indication as to how that last play was supposed to run?

Maybe Nate was supposed to kick it back out to Gallo and even had another option open to him. The problem, obviously, is that Nate could not get free and we did not have another timeout. Harrington was too close to Gallinari when he got the ball to effectively pass it back to Gallo for an open 3, IMO- the spacing was simply not there.

I would probably want it in Lee's hands anyway. Giving Nate the option to do something on his own, pass it back to Gallo, or get it to Lee for a shorter shot was probably how the play was set up, I would think.

First thing I said to my son was" if that was kobe or lebron would they have called a charge?" Looking at it slowly jack moved into him and then reached in hitting him on the shoulder. But we are the Knicks and dont get calls like that. Someday MDA hasta take the fine and rip the refs in a post game.

it was a foul on jack...but it made up for the no-call on chandler who clearly bodied up bosh and made him fall. not sure if they showed it on the knicks feed but the toronto feed had a camera on the baseline and it was a clear AND1.

IMO Lee was being physical with bosh and he didnt like it. Would bosh survive in NYC if he doesnt like being physical on offense and defense??

just a point about coaching...now i know none of you know jay triano...nor should you...but look at that last inbounds play that he ran for the bosh basket after the timeout.

lee was guarding bosh...they inbound the ball to hedo who's being guarded by chandler. bargs is in the corner with (i think harrington on him). they run a pick and roll between hedo and bosh, where lee switches up to hedo and chandler's on bosh. this is exactly the matchup triano wanted. hedo then gives it to bargs in the corner who then gives the entry pass to bosh in the post with chandler on him. at this point, bosh can attack and if the double comes, he has bargs, hedo, or jose with an open 3.

simple play designed to get bosh the ball with a mismatch.

d'antoni's inbound play at the end after the timeout featured harrington getting the ball 25 feet from the basket. you can say all you want about duhon or nate...but the guy that should be getting the ball there is someone that can handle and run a pick and roll. knicks may not have a great group of shooters but at least you could've gotten an open shot.

this isn't to say triano is better than d'antoni...but out of timeout plays is something to keep an eye on.

bosh just played a grueling 40+ min game vs. the heat the night before. bosh gets to the line 10+ times a night...i don't think he minds playing phsyical.

when you see nate hanging on the rim, harrington popping his collar and lee looking at the crowd after a dunk...all while the game is still in the balance...maybe the team needs more of a disciplinarian for a coach.

That was not the primary play they were looking to execute- anyone looking at the video can see that. Gallinari was looking to pass it somewhere else, but nobody was free. It almost seemed that he did NOT want it to go to Harrington at any cost, because he continued to hold the ball, even after Harrington was cleanly free, and only passed it to him when he realized he was going to get hit with the 5 second count.
