Duhon - Wow the cannot push the ball and is total GARBAGE. If we had Jennings feeding Lee, Gallo, and Chandler we'd be nasty.

Harrington - Too predictable. Perfect example of a guy trying to do to much. Chandler was shining so Harrington tried to get his nut off.

David Lee - Great offensive game with zero D. Z Bo is that you?

Chandler - Great game and played on both ends. I want to see CONSISTENCY from him though.

Gallinari - Too in love with his jumper and off the dribble moves like molasses. Seems to get slower as the game progresses.

Robinson - Seems he was actually trying to be a PG. I guess he was auditioning for the Lakers.

Jefferies - Dude's defense is SSSSSSOOOOOO overrated. Gasol gave him the business and Kobe did as well. Please give Hill and Douglas this bums minutes. Jefferies has negative offense too.

Overall typical game. Lakers kept it close all game even though we were playing out of our minds. The 4th quarter came around and the Laker's decided to put us too sleep. Gasol swatting David Lee was mildly amusing.

If we had Jennings we'd be better but it's not like Jennings has been all that good. Don't know if anyone's noticed but his numbers have dropped off. He's shooting less then 40% and he's a shoot first PG.

Jefferies is a good defender - but he ain't a Kobe stopper - no shame in that. He's good not great and gets a lot of credit for his defense because the Knicks have so few good defenders.

why does he need to be told? he should be ready for every game. hughes played in the previous game anyways.

At times in his career Hughes has been considered almost a star. He is a vet and is better than some of the guys playing ahead of him. He seems to be a guy that needs communication from his coach so yes I think he needed to be told that he might play.

Ron artest dissagrees with this statement..

Jefferies - Dude's defense is SSSSSSOOOOOO overrated. Gasol gave him the business and Kobe did as well

he actually forced kobe into a bunch of tough shots..and gasol is just a much bigger player... but hey, He I guess he is overrated, I mean Kobe and gasol.. those two scrubs don't torch everyone else they play.. (shaking my head.. rolling eyes)..

come on man.. you sound like another poster I know... cat was banished from realgm... LOL... but anyway.... nevermind..

Ron Artest is tenacious but he is getting old. Gallo wasn't blowing by old Artest. The older players dont look to hot in back to back games. See Marbury 2 years ago. I think Phil realized it and that is why Artest sat a large portion of the 4th.

Jefferies putting a hand up means NOTHING when he cant score on the other end of the floor. This isnt football man. The Lakers weren't even guarding Jefferies when he caught the ball on the perimeter. Douglas and Hill should be getting ALL of Jefferies minutes period. I know a hand in Kobe's face isn't going to do much. You either have to get up on him or get your face blown off. Plus Kobe looked like he had pathetic elevation all night. You telling me Chandler would have done a worse job?

We should have been playing Lee, Hill, Gallo, Chandler, and Douglas. At the rookies are an offensive threat.

gallo can shoot over artest.. the reason he got that dunk was due to his shooting.. artest had to respect the shot... and then he blocked artest driving shot in that game.. he pretty much gave artest a hard time.. gallo can be a slick player. He has a lot of head fakes, and jukes an off of that can get of a shot anywhere.. you have to respect that..

Jeffries played fine.. he did as well as one can do on kobe.... kobe scored 25 thousand points in his career for a reason.... chandler would have gotten his face blown off as well.... jeffries played him as tough as any knick could have tonight...

I like watching Houston so I saw plenty of him last year. He looks slow this year. I dont know if it is injuries or age but they guy looks like he has no quickness. I liked watching Artest because he actually moves his feet on defense.

If Gallo cant blow by a slow Artest he shouldn't be playing SF. I was pretty annoyed when Gallo chucked that 3 while Gasol was on him.

if gallo came out and score 61 points and took a three. you would still be annoyed LOL... I like how you take these subtle digs at the kid, but give him a break.. kid had a real good game.. at the end of the day, he is the most skilled player we have... get used to it.. it will all be OK..

Gallo can shoot over the majority of SF's. Sticking Gallo on the perimeter to chuck 3's isn't an effective use of his skill set.

So if you admit Chandler would have gotten beaten by Kobe why was Jefferies on the floor when could have Hill on the floor instead?

Really? look I am going to respect the 354 Alba posts, so with all due respect, If he wanted to prove he was the best player, not LBJ, the game to prove it was in Cleveland, not MSG. Even against a shorthanded Knicks, he shot 33%, so this may not be the game to prove he is better than Lebron.
The Lakers were playing 5 against 3.5 (Duhon = 0, JJ = .5 player), so if anybody deserves point for heart and bravery it's the 3.5 players. Lee, Gallo, Will, hats off. Someday, with some help, you will win games like this.

Or, that's when shorthanded teams run out of steam. The Knicks showed up, and if you are a Knicks fan, you have to be proud of how the team played, in the bright lights, against the champs, despite Duhon!

chuck threes? whatever.. LOL.. talk to his coach.. take him off the knicks and we easily become one of the worst if not the worst shooting three point teams in the NBA with an offenss that still relies on threes to some degree...

I felt we should have had hill, lee, gallo, chandler and jeffries.. just bench duhon.. go big, utilize the mismatch whichever small guards are on gallo or chandler... the ball stuck to one side of the floor the last 6 minutes.. lee was not trying to beat a stationary gasol instead of one on the move who could not keep with him... it resulted in lee taking tough shots and getting a couple blocked... I think hill should have been on gasol.. he did a decent job on him earlier..

that wasn't my bet.. I think you got that all mixed up, screen name is not BRIGGS, but why should I expect anything different, or maybe you have some agenda..

don't know what agenda I may have with gallo, but heck, no need to follow up on that.. if I have an agenda when it comes to him, it is defending him vs the agenda of those who want to nitpick.. so I guess my agenda is to fight other agendas.. that is cool...

Twelve shots 20 pts....... The steal late was ugly and he looked out of sync late..... Never really saw the ball till the game was decided though!!....

Shocks me how Gallo has haters....... Kid can play ball on both sides of the court and is basically still a rookie.

I agree Gallo is maybe the most skilled, the best overall player. But he is still a rookie, kind of, and Lee and Afflicted Wilson have some years under their belts. And sure, 20 shots a piece, but they also had boards and stuff, which indicates that they were more aggressive and involved overall, i guess. But then, Gallo is a 3-threat, so his role right now is to do that.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Gallo is only a rookie in the NBA, he been playing pro ball since he was 16 against grown men in Europe. I guess that isn't professional enough for some.

Then when they beat us in the olympics, we hear they are gaining on us(playing the game) and the gap isn't that far away.

Last night nobody mentioned when a team who get the kind of rest the knicks got(4 days) before playing the Lakers who played the previous night against Lebron and Cleveland was a major advantage. Nobody on them knicks looked tired at all.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

my impressions from last night's game:

very good basketball played by the Knicks even w/the loss... everyone was playing unselfishly, good ball movement & movement without the ball by all, everyone was looking to make the extra pass & no one was forcing up shots, not even Al & Nate.

Wilson & D Lee were beasting all game long... good to have these 2 guys showing what they can do on a national stage... i don't think our players are very respected by many fans outside of the Knicks because of all the flack they got from ESPN commentators about being a crappy team over the years.

i actually thought Duhon played a good game last nite... his shooting was crap but he was giving forth a good effort on defense playing Kobe & bodying him up, not an easy task for even the best defensive players... he also fought through screens well, orchestrated the offense & didn't turn the ball over... much better improvement from earlier in the season when he would shut down if his J wasn't falling.

Gallo was doing a nice job getting to the foul line & knocking down his FT's... wasn't forcing up too many 3's, the ones he took were in the flow of the offense.

Jordan Hill, i keep telling u guys all this kid needs is minutes & he'll open some eyes... last night he played great in the 1st half, came out with intensity & energy, rebounded & defended the post well... he is the only post defender we have on this team like i said... Jeffries is too weak to body up on guys like Bynum & Gasol & Lee is too size disadvantaged... Hill's midrange J wasn't falling, but we already know the kid can shoot the ball, & last night he pulled out the turn around jump hook shot in the low post i mentioned the other day.

Larry Hughes wasn't much of a factor but i don't think he was the reason we lost that game... the Lakers went to Gasol in the 4th quarter & w/o Jordan Hill on the floor there was no one that could guard him... then in crunchtime Kobe knocked down some real tough shots that were well defended by Jeffries as he always does... the Lakers are simply a much better team than we are, this loss had to be expected.

good showing by our guys tho i thought... very competitive game throughout, not the blowout loss many may have expected.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I wish we had 4 days rest before every game against the Lakers.

I'm watching the game via Cosmic's rip and I'm really enjoying it. Lee & Chandler look great, and I am impressed with Hill. Wish we had got this one, but love the energy the boys played this one with.
