look, the point is that for what...7-8 years we go nuts about effort.

that really can't be said as much anymore.

a lot of the things you can justifiably be upset about are not as much there now.

it's a matter of roster composition.

we have some nice players, but it's not a team that can compete against those that are built to be consistent winners, with a superstar or two.

we're very much like Orlando just before the signed Grant Hill and McGrady, and a bit like LA before they signed Shaq.

i disagree with breen. at that point al did the smart thing by just going back up with it.

i like our team's growth, but we shouldn't go nuts by losing given the makeup of the roster.

Harrington was it for quite some time but since he's no superstar it went dry. Nate tried to pick it up for some time but disappeared. Nobody else had it after that.

Yet it's not even about that. We made too many stupid plays, most early in the game, and the Cavs as usual got away with a handful of questionable calls, and you've got what you see - a close loss.

There is no need for rocket science to be applied to "why we lost" tonight. It's plain to see.

and it still baffles my mind that folks want to diss Mike D and say he will be replaced after we get a superstar...i mean...wow, sorry, with all due respect, i think we don't have much to go on with such assumptions.

if he fails, then the critics can have their "booo" party.

i will put money down (if i had any...i'm broke...and i hate gambling) that mike d is not going to be the problem anytime soon.

the main reason i say this i will end with, is based on what lebron apparently said the difference this year vs. last.

he said how important it was for having good relationships with his co-workers/teammates.

that is essentially d'antoni's motto and i see few coaches in the nba utilizing this.

it's little wonder mike d is so popular and has had such success.

the old "tough love" method is played out.

good thing is we appear to have a good shot at being on the right side of history.

I can't stand Breen. Look, Marv Albert did the objective thing with class. Breen does it with an edge that makes you think he hates the Knicks, and wants guys to sit on his head (think about any and every loose ball, where players are throwing themselves on the ground and falling on each other, Breen always brings up the fact that you can have contact and not get called for a foul in such situations, but he always has to say "You can literally sit on another guy's head and not get called for a foul!".

Breen stinks.... Tripuka and Kenny Albert are worlds better. Fire Breen.
