Gallinariy had an ok first summer league game. he showed enough glimpses in the second half for me to not get bummed over his first half. I want to see more of him.

I though he settled down a bit , the dunk as everybody said made him feel like he belonged. He reminded me of Tony Kucko on that low switch hand dribble drive where he got hammered.

It's going to be intresting, even steph gave him props saying he's not afraid.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Chandler and Gallo were really impressive. Mardy came on strong in the second half, too. Roberson was on and off, but can't really pass and has a weak handle.

I don't mean to get on you Playa. I just thought you were rushing to judgment earlier..

Don't worry, next game he'll say he's a bust when when he struggles.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

That was a high level game for SL--I watched like 15 of them and that was the best one. I was very impressed with Hickson and Chandler. I dont see Cleveland needing to go all out and looking for a 4 because that kid looks like he can play at a high level for the nba already. Thank God Gallinari has a nice stroke because at his size its hard to defend. He had a nice quick streak but overall he was OK. He was overwhelmed inside but used his own size advantage on the offense to shoot over his defender and he gave better effort in the second half. Lets hope we see carry-through. Chandler has star potential. He's strong athletic and skilled. He's defintely has some Scottie Pippen in him. I almost would be willing to annoint him as (the man) for the mother team and peg him as a starting 3--I dont care if he makes 9mm less than Q---we need change and money cant dictate who plasy where. Mardy Colins looked much better than last year--he lost weight his jump shot looked much better and he has the size and ball skills to get to the rack and rebound for a G. Roberson is a hog but he can shoot

Stephon Marbury has to go--he looked and sounded crazy and no matter what we don't need his influence there. I don't think there is a trade for him and its better to move him out of this area code as ap

Overall I give the Knick an A-

Whats good with Balkman? So far the feedback has been brutal.

I'm trying to contain my excitement over Chandler. I was very encouraged by his run late last year.

I was being objective in what I was seeing, many can't do that without making excuses. He got better as the game went on.

That's not how I saw it. This shouldn't be a referendum on how well he looks from qtr to qtr. My problem is that you pronounced him a BUST after a bad qtr and that wasn't just you making honest assessments of his game. You have a bias against the kid and don't think he was worth the pick.

Yeah, but c'mon dog. Dont you think your language was a bit harsh for a 19 y/o in the first half of his first game in the summer league?

I know you're unhappy with the pick, and I think your logic has definite merit, but dont ruin your credibility over it.

That crossover Gallo pulled off was straight from the Rucker blacktop. The step back, between the legs jumper from 20 that hit nothing but net shows he more fluid than most pegged him to be. He really needs to bulk up some, I think his best position will be the 4 where he can cause some match-up problems on the offensive end. He's clearly not strong enough at this point.

Chandler was really impressive. Its clear that he has more confidence in his game than last year at the same time last year. His handle has improved but it can still use more work. Would also like to see him use his natural strength a little more and try to post up smaller defenders. But overall, I was very impressed with him. No way should Q start over this kid next year, regardless of Q's connection to D'Antoni or how much weight he losses.

Here is the working box score link: http://www.nba.com/summerleague2008/games/boxscore.jsp?gameId=1520800013

Nobody seemed to notice Collins (except Briggs), but I think he looked pretty good. He was 4/6 from the field including 1/1 from 3 point range, 8/9 from the line and it looked like he has been practicing his free-throws, they were swishes for the most part. If Collins can get his jumper decent he'll be worth giving some time to.

I don't know what game some of you guys were watcing but I don't think Gallinari looked that bad even in the first half. He was getting abused by Traylor, and he wasn't making his shot, but he didn't look retarded. He looks nice and big, he makes confident moves, and he let the game come to him instead of forcing it. Most 6'10" guys don't move and handle the ball nearly as well as he does, let alone shoot. He made a good effort on defense.

Let him develop, let's try not to destroy him yet.

He is going to be fine, he works hard, has skill, and wants to be a player. He will be a 15-7 man in the league.

King, I really disliked what I saw from Roberson, he was a black-hole the whole game.

Why? Roberson did what he was supposed to do. He is a shooting guard and this is summer league. A shooting guard should shoot. If he was sucking I could understand the complaint. He made some clutch shots too. I wish Crawford would play like that: Just shoot standing jumpers for the most part instead of taking 50 through the legs dribbles first.

If D'Anotni sticks around he might have some big-stat years simply because of the system. I could see him making 2 to 3 3 pointers a game in D'Anotni's system. I figure he's going to get to the line 4-6 times a game too. I think that is a pretty good base for a scoring player. (I don't mean as a rookie, that would be a lot to ask.)

Roberson is a chucker. He didn't run point at all. Gallinari and Chandler ran point more than he did.
