You know what. We should have won this game, but I am not going to go crazy about. I like that IT is getting Mardy some run. The kid is probably our best passer and a heady player and solid defender. He has to learn how to score and hit his free throws, but this team needs defense in the worse way. Once Zach comes back, his offense will offset Collins' lack of offense. This heat team wanted the game and we played like they were just going to give us the win. That being said, the team needs to get over it and go win some games on the road. Tough losses happen, but we are still early in the season. I am more concerned about our record in March, than I am about one loss in November.

FINALLY SOME SANITY!! Thanks Game. We're all unhappy with the losses, but let's keep things in perspective. We've got talent on tap that hasn't even played yet this year. Mardy to me showed how he can be an effective piece to this puzzle. He slowed down Jay Will's penetrations and made some good defensive playes. But can we give the guy a break since he hasn't played a game yet. This was a good move for the future tho.

I think he's gonna see more PT since we likely won't have Q for a while. I believe we're gonna win some of these road games, so let's actually let them play the games before we write the team off.

Shitty Marbury-led teams lose'em.

I actually didn't blame him for this. Yeah he made a mistake, but we should've been further in the lead if this team is making shots. We're an offensive team and we were totally out of sync. Part of that was Isiah trying to get more D, which I agree with for the longterm success of the team. It was the 1st time he broke away from the tight rotation and we had some very different lineups out there. PEOPLE LET'S NOT MAKE THIS INTO A FEDERAL CASE! I don't think we should just assume that this team won't play better than this. Was this our normal rotation or style of play? HECK NO! I think as time passes by and we start to work Mardy into the rotation we'll get some good results. I thought he was pretty good considering he hasn't played.

See unlike the LOSER FAKE FANS who can't wait for this team to have a bad stretch to declare the sky is falling, i'm not gonna jump off the bandwagon and cry about a bad loss or 2. I think this hurts more due to the upcoming road trip. The loss of Q and the idea the we don't know when ZBo will rejoin the team. Still that won't last forever. It's so early that i'm not even close to panicking over these losses. I'll leave that for the group of guys here who can't see the forest for the trees in an 82 game schedule. People wrote the team off when we had the suspensions last year too and the team responded. Don't be so quick to assume this team can't refocus and get back on track.

Free throw is a free throw I don't care if you haven't played or not once Mardy missed those two free throws all the red flags went up and you knew right there the chance of losing had just went up enormously.

What are you going to do if that coach start loosing? Hope that he loose 10 or 20 in a row too??? We need to win now. I could care less about your sick hate for Zeke. Why don't you think about what you said. Some fan you are. Rooting for the opponit. Thats being a traitor.

The thing is that the team has playe FIVE FREAKIN GAMES!!! You would think that it would be allowed a typical 20 game stretch before the rats abondoned the ship. I just don't understand the mental weakness of Knick fans. Now people are predicting Isiah's demise and hoping for a 10 game losing streak. People are saying that we don't have the needed talent on this team to win. I think all of this is very premature.

1st off no one on this forum or in NY came into this season thinking this team was a world beater. Did we expect that there would be no rough patches? Did we expect error free basketball all year? I think you'd have to be nuts to think that. You know the makeup of the team. I do still believe that this team will find itself and play better. Teams like the Bulls and even Miami will likely find themselves. Some teams that are off to great starts may hit a rough patch and come back to earth a bit. IT'S EARLY PEOPLE!!! 2-3 is not the end of the world, even if it is just before a big road trip.

1) It isn't our record people get upset about. Nobody is getting ready to despair over a 2-3 record in and of itself. It is the way we lose the games.

2) Five games is enough for us to see the same problems the Knicks have had for years now. While this season may be early, this type of play is nothing new.

3) The Miami heat started off the season 0-5. They were losers of their last 18. They are playing without their star. And they didn't play a particularly good game. All reasons for this to be more troubling than any run-of-the-mill loss.

Terrible loss. 18 Turnovers. Relying on Malik and Mardy for offense. QRich going down. Horrible execution down the stretch. Letting Haslem shoot 5-5 to open the game all wide open. Just absolutely terrible. Horrible play selection compounded by terrible execution to close out the game. Heat 10-0 run to close the game? PATHETIC.

Regardless, as promised....

Ya ya, admire the poise.

But what happens 20 games into the season, and we're 8-12......and then 40 games in, and we're 16-24?

What then...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I have come to the conclusion that this backcourt has to go.... yea, I may be a year late, but I am convinced, actuall, I was an advocate of having crawford come off the bench.... We are no more than a 35 win team with this backcourt and defense...

Agreed with everything.

This team is just dreadful. I wish they weren't, but it's like that one guy said - "We're just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic"

Agreed, Its time to break this back court up. Marbury and Crawford need to be gone. I'll take anyone asides these two. I'll take Artest and Mardy, I would love Kobe and Mardy. But Mardy has no offesive game whatssoever so I would get pissed at him everytime he misses a free throw.

Yeah we are we're a 37win team like I've pegged them but yes you're way late. We should have waived Marbury 2yrs ago and traded Crawford to Denver for Andre Miller when they were interested in him.

Wishing that the Knicks loose 10 games in a row shows that you care nothing for this team. You only care about your presonal hate towards one man. The Knicks isn't about one man. It's about the whole team. So I ask whose side are you on when you are rooting for the other team to win.

I think change is coming. Don't assume that we're not gonna do anything to make adjustments if things aren't working. I also don't think that this team is totally lost. You can see how good the team can be when it's executing. I think we just need to have Isiah make the right adjustments to the rotation. I honestly believe that we have players on this team that can get it done, but it's a fine balance to get the right combination. This is going to be Isiah's toughest job this year. Figuring out how to make it work. I really think we're gonna get the mix right and play better. How often do you think our offense will be nonexistant like it was tonight? I would say more often than not, this team is gonna score a lot of points.

These 5 games have been very informative and I think Isiah can use them to make the decision to play Mardy more, in an effort to make the team more solid defensively. We still need the contributions from Jamal, but he may have to come off the bench or have his minutes cut to allow for more time for Mardy. He's clearly the best defensive PG we have. When Zach comes back we'll have enough scoring punch, so we can give up some offense for better D. Rather than panic and assume the sky is falling I think this is all part of the process.

Its best to just leave 'Luva and Bear in their delusional wonderland. Where every loss is informative of the things the rest of us already know.

I was talking to V-Mart and no I'm not rield up. I'm very disappointed about this loss. Hey no defense and this is what you get. It seems to me that every game this team plays down to the level of the other team. We don't know how to put a team away to good. We get careless. The last two games we played we should have won. The Knicks do not play smart ball.

Anytime Malik gets into the game he takes like 6 - 8 shots, my question is WHY? He is a role player, know your role!
