That when I create a thread, there should be a button for me to press that would lure everyone, on the board, into my thread, and force them to say "Allanfan, I agree with you, just as I always do." and if they don't say that, then they get banned until they apologize to me and the entire board.

That's not how it works- even if you don't use it, if someone else is using it will affect the entire thread. There will be non-responses and holes in conversations. It's a weird and useless feature. Its a lot easier to scroll over someone's posts or not respond if they're baiting you.

Why would it? Please explain would the use of something similar such as the turning images off images feature would affect the thread? This would be a user based item and it would not after the original thread in any way except the view of the actual user. It would be in essence a user function.

Think about it. Let's just say you're chosen to ignore me.

You make a post

I reply to your post, not knowing that I'm on ignore.

I await your reply, yet you're ignoring me, so I reply again

Another poster wonders why you're not replying, starts commenting.

You can see the comments, but you have no idea which poster he's referring to that's replying to you.

Another guy comes in, has you on ignore, and wonders who the other guy is replying too.

And so on. It becomes an Abbott and Costello routine.

Their just words. If you see a name and know you don't like the guys posts, its not really that hard to skip over them, is it? That's helpful feature of having our names by every post.

Also would like to note, as small as your group is, you'll end up with about four maybe three smaller groups of people talking amongst themselves. No community at all. Martin & Andrew' why not just make a Lover's board and a Hater's board. If one trumps over the other, then you get banned from one or the other. That way all the sen-thatib guys get to talk to nice people only and all of the mean and rotten haters get to bash each other all day long!

Islesfan the reason why you don't want an ignore button is because you know that you will be high on the ignore list. Then you can't vent your hate like you want to. I don't want to hear the same old song how much you hate Zeke. Why don't go to the garden and step up to Zeke and tell him how much you hate him?? Probably Zeke would start laughing so much that you might just realize something. No one really cares how much you and your hate crew dislike Zeke. For a guy who hates, haters' you sure do spend a lot of time paying attention to it all. I bet if this guy got rid of all of the haters, I bet any of you that he'd still be bitching about something. While some of you are talking about getting rid of the haters, why not get rid of the whinners also and the few known Boston fans on this board? Why stop there? I'm sure there's other that we can think of ignoring also. I wonder just how important this issue would be, if we found out only a handful of people are pushing for this ignore button? Is it worth pushing everyone else away? I mean someone like papabear doesn't exactly bring stimulating conversation here. Actually, I'm quite offended that someone would always start their sentences with 'papabear says'. I mean let's get really petty man! You wanna know what the real problem is. There are a few here that charish Isiah like a god and if you say something bad about him, then you get threatened with an ignore button? If Isiah, suckbury, JJ1, JJ2 and maybe even Dolan himself where to dissapear, I bet this board would be a lot happier. We complain about the legitimate problems we have with this franchise because it is real! I'm not about to sit and pretend that everything is okay with this team. That would be too boring!!! I love the Knicks and I really like the freedom of this board. How about the rest of you???
