Randolph puts up allstar numbers in a Western Conference that is jam packed with higher profile allstar PF's. This guy can ball with the best, and will, now that he has a chance in the eastern conference. Great pickup.

You guys slay me

Jimmy James - c'mon dude...Zach in the Sweets mold?

I thought NY basketball fans were knowledgeable. Zach is listed at 215 pounds.

Sweetney has to be weighed at United Van Lines

Regarding Randolph, was he part of Michigan State's NCAA title team in 2000 (with Mateen, Morris, and Bell)? Or did he join the team the year after (the team that made it to the final four in 2001 and lost to Arizona)?

Either way, he had some solid college grooming on a team with a winning program prior to starting his NBA career.

Zach Randolph is a stat whore loser and a criminal to boot. He's yet another overpriced underachiever. He'll put up numbers like Marbury, Francis, Crawford, Curry... and still disappoint you. He put up his career best numbers last year and the Blazers couldn't get rid of him fast enough. What does that tell you?

What does that tell you?

That you weren't paying attention when the Blazers drafted Alridge and ODen in consecutive years.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Broken link. I assume you meant nba.com instead of nbu.com? On nba.com he's listed at 285.

It was all a joke. There is no nba.com link that says that Eddy weighs 95 pounds. So I made up the nbu.com!

Just found out about the trade. I honestly didn't think Isiah could completely screw the pooch this year. I figured at worst, he would reach for someone and pass on Almond. Actually he did do that. But Zach Randolph?!?

What was the point when you already have Curry? Isiah still doesn't understand that it's not just a matter of collecting player but players that fit and complement one another. Not only don't they complement one another but they mirror each others games. Unbelievably stupid.

And so much for the whole, we're looking to get our cap down so we can be a player in the free agent market in a couple of years BS.

This roster is a ticking time bomb. Lee must be completely confused and will have to fight for every minute he can get. Marbury is about 6 months from demanding a contract extension. Randolph needed to go to a team with solid veteran leadership, here in NY he's primed to blow up with their leadership void. Curry is going to have to deal with playing with someone who wants to do the same things he does on offense, which is the only place where he has any worth.

This move is just so mindnumbingly stupid. Or in this case it's just Isiah repeating the same starphucking mistake over and over again.

I told you so.

Seriously, why is it that some fans can understand these things but it's completely lost on the Knicks Team President, General Manager and Head Coach?

a lot of us saw the road ahead once that trade was made... i mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize he didn't address any of the needs this team had after last season.

so we're adding $61 million dollars in salary due to Zach Randolph over the next 4 seasons, & SAS is ranting about how Isiah was able to unload Steve Francis' contract, which is roughly about half contract wise in dollars & length of years???

then we throw in Channing Frye to get back 2 expiring contracts of Fred Jones & Dan Dickau, 2 young players who haven't done much of anything in the NBA since they were drafted themselves.

sorry if i don't jump up & down over this one... i would have much preferred to simply buy out Steve Francis & trade Frye in a deal to get Ron Artest... at least his deal expires the same season as Marbs, & he'd actually add a dimension to this team that we NEED.

oh brother... Zach Randolph is now a NY Knick... the 1 guy i would have thought Isiah would not be crazy enough to trade for, & he goes & does it.

Stole the words from my brain.

Dude cap room doesnt win games. We need a power forward with a jump shot a couple of steps inside the three point line, a rebounder, and a secondary post threat to Curry. That is exactly what we got. You have to be insane to not like this trade. If you are still cheering for cap room then go get another freaking team to follow. Only completely delusional people are still hoping that we are going to start clearing for cap. GIVE IT UP. This is a good move, we now have THE front court of the east.

Curry
Randolf
Lee
Crawford
Marbury

Lets go.

LET'S GO DAMMIT!

That's false in comparison to how many didn't, wouldn't, and still don't. I'd say very few people saw beforehand as evidence of this thread and early season projections from our fan base overall.

Then you follow this post with LET'S GO DAMMIT!

GO WHERE?

Oh that's right, to the lottery!!!

Listen guys, who else in the league as a DOUBLE POST PRESENCE other than the NEW YORK KNICKS !! You must who to defend !!! CURRY left block, ZACK right block with Morris Almond and H2O shooting the 3 ball !!! Balkman, Lee and Morris running the floor and Steph running the ship

basically frye for randolph...im not estatic but its not too bad. Its not as if frye was playing any defense anyway.

i dont know why everyone hates this trade?? Im really dissapointed we didnt get webster as well, but we did get a guy who is 26 and avg 20 and 10. We only lost frye and francis, so everyone should calm down and relax.

Steven A. Smith is praising it because we got rid of Francis contract

yes randolph's contract is longer, but he's a 20-10 guy and is only 26 years old, compared to francis who is an old bum now

Stephen A Smith and all of ESPN loves this trade as do i !!!!!!!!
We got rid of one of the very worst contracts in the NBA. What did anyone expect to get in return for Stevie Screwup?

I'm w/ Spike and ESPN. Good trade. We still to make more moves, don't like the team the way it is today, but I think this improves our talent level by a lot and puts us in a stronger position.
Sorry, I think this trade is a steal, not that I would expect most here to like it. It's not as if 25 year old PF's that put up 23 and 10 and have a real post game and outside shot are a dime a dozen...

This is not the same as Francis because Francis was older and damaged goods, physically (although I admit I didn't know it). Randolph is 25 years old and we were stuck with Francis for 2 years contributing NOTHING and taking tremendous cap space. Frye made a step backwards this year (and I was supportive...ask dj sju) while Lee moved forward. Now, Lee can be super 6th man, while Zach mans the post.

Multiply those quotes by 3,000,000 when factoring the other 3,000,000 Zach threads created in the off-season posted on this forum and many others.

It was by a wide margin Knick fans who thought this tandem would be Formidable.
